Stayed there during the Macau Grand Prix for its price. Lots has been written in other comments about the room size (very small) and the central location. Instead of taking a taxi from the ferry terminal (especially when the queue is long), take the free shuttle bus to the Grand Lisboa and walk from there 10 - 12 minutes. Bathroom is small, shower and bed are good. Value for money. Some hair on the floor (bathroom and bedroom) but otherwise the room was clean.

The hotel is centrally located,u can walk to ruins of st. Paul and their plaza market,my only complain is the room has no heater and it was winter/cold season when we went, they only have hot shower and once u step out of the small bathroom the room is freezing cold, they have thick comforters though, the room is clean & small & the service is ok.no free breakfast.I chose this hotel for its value & location & i got what i wanted.it was a nice stay overall! :)

I would recommend Ole London Hotel. :) Won't say it was plush, but for the price, in that vicinity, the room was clean, bright, not cramped. The beds were comfortable, the comforter/blanket made me feel cozy, the bathroom was one of the best I've seen in a 3-star hotel! with a rainshower, and very clean. The place's only downsides were that the TV only had 1 English Channel (NHK), which played their programs in a 3-hour loop, and the phone, also the remote control for the air conditioner and TV had Chinese characters on them. And it may be a little difficult to converse with the front desk in English... Then also, the lobby outside the hotel elevator seem to serve as a storage area for the housekeeping supplies... But other than that, I was quite happy with the room, its cost, and the hotel's location. It was 5-10 minutes walking to the bus stop at Masters Hotel (Rua do Almirante Sergio), which was also the stop for the Venetian Hotel Shuttle (every 30 minutes). And I stumbled on a short cut to Senado Square. Exiting the hotel, turn left and go till Praca de Ponte e Horta dead ends. Turn left at Rua da Alfandega and it exits right at Leal Senado. Around 10-15 minutes walking. (Note: When taking the road back to the hotel, the road forks in two. Take the road on the RIGHT.)

Room Tip: The ..01 rooms (1301, 1401, etc.) face into the park in front of the hotel. Made me feel less "...

This hotel is located 5 mins away from Senardo Square, 15 mins away from St Paul's ruins. But again, Macau is not really a very big place, most places are within walking distance. It is about 30 mins walk to Wynn, MGM, Lisboa and other casinos.
To get to Venetian City, walk across the street and catch the free Venetian shuttle bus - ask the hotel staff if you are unsure.

The room is bigger than what I expected, however, we were given a room without window and thus there was a strong smell and lack of ventilation.

Not the best location, but acceptable distance. Stay somewhere else if you have higher budget.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with window.

We stayed at the 'Ole London Hotel' last weekend - it was a last minute trip across to Macau from Hong Kong and we just booked the cheapest hotel that came up on Expedia as we were only planning to sleep there.

The location is good, about a 10 minute walk down interesting back streets to the old Portuguese part of town. There's also a shuttle bus service from the hotel just round the corner (The masters Hotel) to the Venetian etc.

The hotel seems newly refurbished, smart and clean. The rooms were small but comfortable with a good shower and decent bed, and didn't smell of smoke (interestingly our non-smoking rooms still had ashtrays provided!), Some rooms we peered into were a little dark with small windows, but that's ideal if your just wanting to sleep there isn't it?

Check-in was straight forward - we were early and only one room was ready so we dumped our stuff off and freshened up there, then collected the second key when we returned in the evening. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, no complaints at all about the service as per other reviews.

Breakfast was not included in the room rate, but surprisingly good for the extra 28MOP (about £2.50) each. Eggs, ham, fresh bread, jam, tea, a couple of cereals, coffee, orange juice and some more local noodle / congee offerings too.

This will certainly be our first choice next time we go back to Macau as it suited our requirements perfectly. (According to the LP, book via www.macau.com for best rates although I can't verify that as we went via Expedia).

Room Tip: Rooms on the front (we had 301 - a twin) are lighter but maybe a little more noise from the park are...

The Venetian or The City of Dreams this hotel it is not, but it never tries to be. If like us you want to spend money in the Chinese Vegas having fun and your accommodation is a back up plan incase the night gets too lively the London is perfect. Located a short taxi ride from the main hotels, also a free bus available at the end of the road if you can get on - usually packed.

Breakfast buffet available for a couple of dollars - again perfect offering everything from a Chinese attempt at an English breakfast to Congee. There was a problem with damp in some of the rooms, most were minimal but some were gross so don't be shy of asking for a room move if it is bad!

We spent most of our time in enjoying the larger hotels and the show at the City of Dreams (Hard Rock) is cirque du soleil, with crazy high diving boards and a few motor bikes thrown in for good measure - can be pricey but a must see - best show we have ever seen!

Location: located in very strategic place. Just few minutes of walking that will lead you to the tourist attraction places. Just follow the tourist road-sign in "green" colour.

Service: very poor. The staff there were not professionally trained. No basic greeting i.e thank you, good morning etc.

Room: It's OK but beware for those room without window or under basement room. Ask for window/ scenery room for better "breathing" but pay a little bit. Quiet place & bed is comfy.

Cleaning: Toilet & bed is clean but my room (with window scenery at level 2) got very "bad" smell coming out from the toilet. Really got bad sewage problem.

Facilities: Got kettle but no coffee/ tea provided. Got hair dryer & international socket plug. No minibar fridge & safety box. Got 2-in-1 shampoo gel means bath gel + shampoo...my advice is better bring your own. Don't expect Internet connection or WiFi here.

Recommendation: There are few hotel surrounding that area e.g. Hotel Sun Sun (The Best Western) that I guess is better than this hotel (my opinion). Don't expect for good service for this kind of the price you paid.

Overall View: It's ok for those people won't care about accommodation, service quality & short staying e.g. 1 day. Good location & clean.
