Do not hesitate going here! It many seem a little pricey but get dressed up and make a day of it. The food was to die for! We did the full menu with wine matching for my partners birthday and it was food heaven. The wine matching was to absolute perfection and the service is impeccable! The entree of fois gras is an absolute must with the sommeliers wine choice! The view is amazing and it was just a perfect day all around - thank you Robuchon cannot wait to return!

We had lunch here on a Sunday and it was very enjoyable.
We had the 3 courses lunch set. We had the crab meat and the foie gras for appetizer, the white mushroom veloute for soup and then the sea bass fillet and the caramelized guinea fowl for main course. All the dishes were well presented and absolutely delicious. The white mushroom veloute was exceptional. Remember to try their mashed potato with the main course. It was the best mashed potato we had so far. For dessert, you must try their mille-feuille. It was very good. The lemon tart was also tasty.
We do not recommend the full menu unless you have a huge appetite. 3 courses with the bread, the amuse bouche and the dessert were more than enough for us.
The service was good but not attentive enough in our opinion.
The price was not cheap but it is worth coming here for the high quality food and the splendid view. Remember to book ahead for lunch as it gets fully booked very quickly.

Ambience is awesome in this restaurant! Service is very good. The mushroom soup & Foie Gras were excellent! Main course Chicken was slightly dry. We selected two desserts - both Mille Feuille & Lemon Tart were really good!!! Prices for lunch are really value for money, either in 3 or 4 courses!

Roubochun au Dome is easily one of the premiere restaurants in Macau and is arguably the finest place to dine in the city. We recently enjoyed a lunch and are already thinking of when to reserve our next table.

First, the service at Roubochun is very good. It is less refined and well-timed compared to our favourite Michelin restaurant in Hong Kong, Caprice at Four Seasons, but it is very good. The wine sommelier made excellent wine selections as per the wine pairing option available to lunch time diners and the wait staff did a nice job with their course recommendations and dish explanations.

The restaurant itself is uniquely situated in the glass dome on the 43rd floor of the Grand Lisboa, providing 360 degree views of the city, a very nice feature when sky conditions are favourable. There is a piano setup at the restaurant entrance along with an impressive chandelier and food trolleys, showing off the delectable desserts, breads and cheeses available for diners.

Lunch at Roubochun au Dome is a set menu of either a 3,4 or 5 course meal. We recommend the 5 course meal which is very reasonably priced at MOP$608 per person, affording you opportunity to sample more course dishes during your meal. You can order wine from their extensive list which is supposed to be one of the largest in Asia or you can elect the wine paring of 2,3 or 4 glass options. We each choose the 4 glasses and felt the sommelier did a most excellent job selecting suitable and appropriate wines to match our various course dishes. This was a memorable part of the dining experience for us.

As for the meal, the pre-meal bread basket was good. We very much enjoyed the focaccia w/ tomato and the baguette stuffed with bacon. Staff provide butter from the mobile butter cart, right at your table. This is classy and enjoyable to watch.

For appetisers, we enjoyed the Le Crabe - a cripy crab meat served in a cold coriander cream. This was very nice. However, the Le foie gras appetiser was more impressive in taste and presentation. For soup, we both ordered the Le champignon blanc, which was a most delicious wild mushroom soup, very rich in flavour and aroma.

Our two fish orders include the L'aile de raie pan-fried skate with baby spinach and artichoke that was ok but not stellar. The Le dos de bar, on the other hand was excellent. This was an perfectly prepared sea bass that we would would gladly order again.

As for meats, we tried the La longe de veau, which was a pan seared lion of veal, that we felt was a bit too tough in texture and somewhat lacking in natural flavour. Our second meat order, the La pintade, a order of Carmelized guinea fowl, served with pan fried foie gras and marinated cherry. This was exquisite, another dish that we would happily order time and time again. The meat was surprisingly tasty and very well complemented by the marinated cherries. Each bite just seemed to give more and more flavour, making this a lovely dish to enjoy during lunch.

Desserts at Roubouchan au Dome are served from a most delectable looking dessert trolled. You also have option of selecting a variety of cheeses, which are served on a separate impressive mobile cheese trolley. We went with one order of cheese, sampling an enjoyable variety of four cheeses that we'd happily take again. For our other order, we choose the traditional desserts, selecting the Napoleon cake, which Roubouchan is famous for and a slice of lemon tart cake. The lemon tart cake was a nice choice, the Nepolean was quite impressive and memorable. Coffee and an additional round of after dinner sweets were brought to the table, ending a most enjoyable and filling 3 hour lunch.

Overall, Roubouchan is clearly amongst our very best dining experiences in Macau. The restaurant is beautiful, the service very good and there are some most excellent food choices to be enjoyed here. Considering the amount of very good food and excellent wines we were able to try, we felt the meal price was quite reasonable for this calibre restaurant. In the end, this is a highly recommendable restaurant for those interested in fine dining in Macau.

Tip: Make reservations at least a month in advance. Best to call them directly to reserve. You will need to provide a fax credit card deposit to confirm your reservation as well.

I used to go there when I was on business trip. It was the best choice in Macau. I went there again lately, it was good, but not as good as before. I miss the old Robuchon …
