food was OK - we had duck rice (rich and tasty but rice was abit uncook and hard), bacalhau ball (nothing special at all) and the biscuit mousse (comes in 7 layers, very creamy and delicious). the bill came out close to hkd350.

atmosphere was good and somewhat relaxing. staff service was also acceptable (at least by Macau standard).

I guess is an OK dining place if you don't mind the bill.

Thank Ben T

Wonderful macanese food, blending portuguese, African and Asian influences and prepared to a very high quality. Very friendly staff as well. I would definitely recommend a meal here if you are in Macau, an you may want to book as it was pretty full when we went there off-season. The only disadvantage is that the meal was pretty expensive, but as a one-off, definitely worth it.

Bacalhau and the appetizer was so good with the paella rice or fried rice as named in the menu and the place is comfy not too old and the Filipino staff were always accommodating.

Tucked into an alleyway at Senado Square and then further tucked away in amidst buildings, it can be easily missed if you are not keeping your eyes peeled. It is near where MacDonald's is.

I was alone the first time I went in February and tried the Baked Duck Rice. It was nice and different. The second time I brought my family and we could try other dishes such as baked mash spinach. Really interesting. I generally like the food although it is rather pricey and not something that you can go back to often. Try it once at least. Not sure how authentically Portuguese the food is but the menu says interesting stuff.

The maitre' D (if you can call him that) was very friendly and chatted with us while we waited for our food.

It was raining at the time and all of the tourist guide recommend the place. We only got one day in macau to see the church's ruins and wanted to try an authentic macau dish. They have quite a selections of macau dish and unique interior to blend with the environment. It was well situated and very near from the tourist center. The price is a bit high in my oppinion. All of this only read one thing: this is a tourist restaurant. All visitor are tourist and no locals. So if you want to try macau dish, you dont have munch time and you're sick of mcdonalds already - this place is worth a shot. But i would rather hunt down for local restaurant next time, place where all the locals eat for a more authentic experience.

However it was not all that bad. The food is quite good and unique. The waiters are quite helpfull (compare to other we met in downtown). Try the beer, it's good.
Hope this review helps.
