It's far from the usual tourist spots but it's beside a beach. Went at 12 noon on a weekday and the place was almost empty. Love the fried rice. Love the Portugese chorizo although I think some might find it too salty. Roasted suckling pig is also very good, very well cooked. It was hot though, no aircoon at noon but very relaxed ambience. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Would go back. Check http://beautybeatmanila.blogspot.com for directions.

Strongly recommended this, we took a taxi from the Peninsular and arrived 6.30 with no problem to get a table. Food came quickly and was unremarkable but a fair price. I'm told the BBQ is good but we didn't have that. A nice outing. Pity you can't see the sea from the restaurant but the gardens are lush nearby.

This place is well worth the wait but you can strategize and minimize your wait time by either eating at 6pm or 8:30pm. But if you eat at 6pm, you risk getting leftovers from the night before. I recommend the clams, the squid, the shrimp, and the salad. The crab is good as well but you won't be able to finish unless you are with a party of five. Also good is the beef steak with egg. It sounds simple but it's nothin to sneeze at.

It is a very good place to eat fresh fish and frutti di mare. If you are just before noon, when they open, you will see many hungry people waiting patiently for restaurant to open. Do not worry - there is plenty place inside and you will be sited. And when you are sited and your meal is ordered, you will be shocked how fast it comes! Try anything with dry cod, it's fantastic. Tomato salads are delicious - have no idea where they take their tomatoes from...

It may be a bit far out from the more central Macau and Taipa but it's well worth a visit. The authentic decor and tranquil surroundings with ceiling fans and no air conditioning encourage you to enjoy a glass or few of Sangria. It's certainly easy to order too much food as it is by no means expensive but delicious, the bread alone is fresh and perfect for mopping up the tasty sauces.

No meal is complete without having at least sampled the pork, the prawns and the clams.
