Sometimes a huge casino isn't a good thing. There's such a thing as too big. It takes atleast 20 minutes to walk to your hotel room.

So.... Actually, i don't know what to add to words above. It's one of the most amazing places in the world. I've always thought that there's no such a breathtaking places in asian cities... but, really, this place convinced me that China overtook USA not only in industry.
Just come and see it.

This is a must see in macau. it boasts a large number of shops and eateries. one can easily get lost though. the place is a bit complicated to navigate. many popular local food delicacies can also be found here, which saves a lot of time than hunting them around macau. the experience was unique. it was like venice. there are also entertainers within the mall, which spices up things.

I've been to to the Venetian in Las Vegas and now the Venetian in Macau. Both are very much the same with the cloudy sky ceilings which appear to move when you move and the wonderful gondola canal running through the complex. Complete with real Italian gondola captain/singers! The European styling of the hotel/casino is beautifully done and realistic. They have a large eatery with a lot of different styles of food. The prices here we're very reasonable compared to the restaurants. My only real complaint is there are no places to sit unless you go to a restaurant or cafe. This means long walks to go rest your feet and you need to buy something. Unless you find the big food court where you Can sit without purchase. The casino is huge and very busy, although we didn't gamble ourselves just walked through. Nice place to visit but unless you're a gambler or serious shopper you really only need an hour or so. As for the shopping it's virtually all expensive high fashion label shopping.

The Venetian had something for everyone in the family. As expected the rooms were lavish and once you are able to navigate the maze, you could spend the whole day exploring the hotel. The foodcourt was nice with a lot of variety and we enjoyed the gondola ride. We were spoilt for a choice of swimming pools. Be warned though that if you are not there for the casino scene, you will soon run out of options for things to do.
