“Great setting but check your bill!”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

We visited this restaurant twice whilst on holiday in Puerto de Mogan. It is located on the harbour and has lovely views over the marina.
On our first visit, the restaurant was pretty quiet and we were attended to really well. The tapas was beautifully presented, and the main course of tuna really tasty. The apple cake and the bambino ice cream sundae, divine. There was one minor problem in that we ordered marlin fish, but were given tuna, WITHOUT explanation or apology! We also got charged for tuna, instead of the marlin, which was on special offer. However when we queried this they did alter the bill.
Our second visit was less pleasurable, They were very busy and service was very slow. We ordered the valencia paella, which was on special offer for two people-24 euros including beer. However, when the bill came, they had charged us for the beer! We queried, and they amended the bill. The paella also wasn't that great - overly wet and too much beef!
The price overall was ok, given it's location. And the 'specials' would appear to be good value. However, you MUST check your bill, otherwise you risk paying over the odds.

“Nothing Special”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

We chose the tapas menu for evening meal. The waiter did warn us we were ordering too much but, living in the Canaries & regularly eating tapas, we thought we knew better! What we got was certainly not any tapas we've had before..... more a racion - full portion of each dish!
The food was Ok. Nothing special. But perfectly nice.
We were slightly put off by the two cockroaches scuttling about on the table. Just bad luck I think.
Probably a better venue for lunch,

“Let down and rip off”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

Stopped by on the harbour, lovely setting. Ordered four tapas dishes which were around 5 euros each. Surprised when we got the bill that a small amount of ham was charged at 17.50!
Asked to see the menu where most of the dishes had euro signin front of the price - €4.50 for example. We had been led to believe that our ham dish was €5.00 (wasn't even that nice)
Turns out that the 17.50 dish was for the ham. When we checked the menu after querying this the waiter changed the bill to 15.00 for this item. When we looked at the bill the Euro sign was a squiggle (could have been interpreted as a euro sign or a 1). Since all other dishes had euro signs before I assumed the ham was 5. Anyway, they tried to charge us 17.50 which makes me think this is a deliberate thing going on.
Also 4.00 for not a large beer
Food was average

“Nice meal and good service”
Reviewed July 23, 2013 via mobile

Very comprehensive menu with a wide selection of seafood, fish and meat meals. All meals arrived hot and service was quick and friendly. My swordfish was slightly overdone but still very tasty. We also had the sirloin and half a roast chicken which again were very good. The meal was finished with complementary honey rum for all.

“Marina front location”
Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

Tried here for lunch, filed up very quickly so obviously a popular choice. The snack menu wasn't in English (it was in Danish, Norwegian, Dutch & Swedish) but the main menu did have an English section & as we wanted pizza anyway this wasn't a problem. Friendly & efficient service, they especially seemed to appreciate our attempts at Spanish. Recommended.
