“Excellent service and the best food in Puerto de Mogan”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We ordered take away, as we have a small baby with us. They insisted that we brought the food on proper plates, just to return them the day after. The food was fantastic. Well worth the extra euros. We had the delicious tuna carpaccio and tasty imberico ham for starters, an a very tender veal steak for main course. Very friendly staff!

“Ate there 4 times it was so good”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

The food and service were excellent. The best we had on the island and we pretty much ate out every evening. The quality of the food was outstanding, especially the Paella which was fabulous. The starters were all very good (recommend the avocado and king prawn dish and the mussels - both exceptional and beautifully presented). Only thing was I was full after the starters! The staff were very friendly and remembered us (and our dishes on our second visit and thereafter). It was not the cheapest, but the quality was well worth the money (starters about 10 Euros, mains about 12-15 Euros). Mainly a Spanish menu (although the staff are all Italian!).

“Fantastisk!”
Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

Fabolous!!!

This is by far the best restaurant in puerto de mogan, probably in south gran canaria. Starters, maincourses and desserts - EXCELLENT!

The food is amazing. Every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection and tasted heavenly. Recommend the carpaccio (all types) and the desserts. The food alone is a reason to eat here every day.

Service is also very good, hopefully Milo will be there to take care of you - and make sure to ask him for recommendations and suggestions!

This is truly a hidden treasure!!!!

:)

“What a strange place”
Reviewed July 5, 2013 via mobile

Well I guess we should have not gone here when we realised we were the only diners. All very strange and the waiter come chef was terrifying. Then a waitress appeared as if she had been phoned up to come and help. To be fair the food is fine but just an odd place.

“Paella Heaven”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Snuggled about half way in the beach side drag of Puerto mogan, this place serves amazing food. We'd had some good \ very good meals in our week or so on Gran Canaria but El Cordero was head and shoulders above the rest.

We made a good decision not to have a starter as, although they sounded and looked wonderful, they were big portions and it would have taken the edge off our appetites - and it proved that we needed to be hungry for what was to follow!

There are 8 or 10 paella type dishes which all sounded wonderful but we plumped for a fish and seafood one. We were warned it would be a while coming which we took as a good sign and settled down with a couple of beers. When it came, the food was perfect; beautifully presented and served, the texture and taste were sensational. A huge portion, we couldn't finish it although we did eat all our favourite "burnt bits" from the edge of the massive pan.

No deserts needed, we rounded off with a complementary spirit and walked back slowly as we were so stuffed! Very highly recommended.
