“Great Discovery”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

Looking for someplace for lunch, we spotted So Good and even though it was not as busy as the others, we had noticed a couple of tables with Italians at them, which we usually find can be an indication of good food. What a good choice it turned out to be, stunning fresh pasta specials cooked to perfection we had each picked a different one, spaghetti with shrimp, lemon and basil which smelt and tasted of Spring, and pappardelle with slices of braised barola beef which melted in the mouth accompanied with a great glass of house red and ice cold (alcohol free) beer for the driver, rounded off with fab Lavazza coffe and homemade truffles, with the bill coming to a very reasonable 43 euros..We hope to return for dinner one evening when we are back in Gran Canaria and can highly reccommend the food here

“Excellent food”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We ate here twice and the food was really excellent.

There are 2 good Italian restaurants on the promenade overlooking the beach - this one and La Bruschetta. La Bruscetta is more crowded and the decor is more inviting, but it's quite a bit more expensive. Food quality is similar but having tried the same dish (seafood linguine) at both I'd put SoGood slightly ahead for food quality. The decor is a bit less inviting (very orange!) but the staff are very friendly and the prices very reasonable for the quality. So you can pay more at La Bruschetta for slightly better ambience, or pay less here for better food but not such a buzzy atmosphere. Great choice to have - both are good.

The owner here is a vegan so the veggie options are excellent too. (She also loves cats - some very elegant cats gracing the place)

“The best by far”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

We stayed in Puerto de Mogan in Sept/Oct 2012 on a self catering basis. We ate out every day. By far this was the best place to eat. We never usually eat at the same place twice (and there are that many good restaurants in Puerto de Mogan you don't have to) but we came back three times. My other half said it was the best lasagne he'd ever tasted. I had the calzone one night and it was delicious (absolutely massive but managed to eat it all!). But by far my favourite item on the menu was the house bread. We had it as a starter and couldn't get enough of it. Next time we go to Puerto de Mogan (and we will be going again as we loved it) our first stop will be SoGood. It's a shame as when we were there it always looked quiet in comparison to the other eateries which may have put some people off but please don't walk by - it's a little gem with the most wonderful food ... and we want it still to be there when we return!
