“Pleasant little restaurant and reliably good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

We've stayed in PdM two year's running in an apartment and have eaten at various restaurants. On both visits we dined at the Puerto Grill and had an enjoyable experience there. The food is of good quality and nicely cooked and presented. Puerto de Mogan tends to be on the expensive side but this restaurant is one of the more affordable ones and you'll get good value for money in our experience.

It is rather plain and small. Food is very good. Prices are a bit high but affordable.

“Good value Fishplate! Good Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2011

My husband and I had a lovely meal in Puerto Grill in Puerto de Mogan. It was lunchtime so went for the Fishplate to share. We ordered a glass of sangria each that was handmade and tasted yum! Lovely nicely cooked hake with a cream sauce, well cooked chunky tuna steak with a nice pepper sauce, potato croquets all along with a fresh salad of mixed salad, tomatoes and peppers. All together a fine lunch. Well done.:)))

“Not a good experience”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2010

I am sorry to say that this was not a good food experience, a bad cafe experience borderline. The staff was very friendly but the food was a disaster. The Swordfish Speciality starter was 8-10 thinly sliced, dry swordfish cuts that came together with dry bread. We ordered Rosado wine which was warm, around 20C, which we needed them to put in the freezer (!) The mains were both fish, one was a sole with a soucy that tasted salt, the other sole with an almond sauce that had essence in it (!) All came with dry potatoes and vegetable/spinach with no taste (overcooked). We ate only the fish and left quickly, after paying Euro 60 for the whole ordeal.

One of the guests had their dog with them inside the restaurant (!) That cannot be allowed I presume. They asked us how the food was, we looked another way and said "ok", so I think they understood. We did not want to make a scene.

Again, we are sorry that we have to be so harsh but one goes on holiday to have a good meal, pay Euro 60 but is left with close to being angry about it all.
