“Olivia Restaurant - fine dining and exquisite cocktails”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

Sven is a cocktail wizard, beautifully balancing flavours so none overpower the others but make a perfect synergy. Sample the ultimate Classic Mojito, and the new for this year Olivia's Chocolada which includes chocolate tequila - the smooth combination of hazelnut and chocolate makes this a very sophisticated and heavenly drink. You must also try the Razz Mojito, and my partner thinks their Whisky Sour is the best ever. Go there if you want to experience cocktails at their absolute best in a really chilled atmosphere.

This attention to detail and ambition to find new and unusual flavour combinations translates to their food menu. Last week I nearly died and went to heaven eating the steak with exotic fruit sauce. Who would ever have thought they would go together but really - wow. The steak was a beautiful cut, and delicately cooked medium rare so it melted in the mouth. The lovingly prepared sauce included bananas and kiwi and just worked to create this new and wonderful taste sensation - you have to try this.

We'd experienced the perfectly prepared tapas before (exquisite black pudding with quince jelly, perfectly cooked tempura vegetables amongst others, all served at Michelin level presentation) but the new for this year coconut soup with miso noodles and chilli mince was a revelation. Smooth velvety coconut, the satisfying mouth feel of thin noodles and then the kick of heat from the chilli mince - another wow from me.

So sorry to be back home but terrific memories of a business striving to serve the absolute cutting edge in fine dining and exquisite cocktails.

“Breathtakingly beautiful paella!”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

We visited twice during the week, simply for the paella, which was a real highlight of our holiday. Be prepared to wait a little longer for this dish because perfection takes a little time to achieve! it not only tasted delicious but was presented beautifully too. Nice staff and a decent location overlooking the harbour too. Cocktails help to kill a little time while waiting for your paella ;-)

“Superb!”

Very attentive and knowledgable staff, extremely pleasant atmosphere and the food was knockout, if a little on the expensive side.Proof of the adage that you get what you pay for.

“A bit pricey, particularly with children”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Decided on this place because of favourable Trip Advisor reviews. Sat down to an extensive if a little bit expensive cocktail menu but what we met when we looked at the main menu was too much...... For a family with young children who are well versed in the art of finding fine dining venues that offer great kids food (yes there are places that do:-) to face €12 for kids chicken nuggets was too far..... For main meals expect to pay €20-ish. So we left before ordering food.
That said the service was good despite us questioning value for money

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to rate us.
Too bad that our offer has not met your expectations.

Our children's menu (chicken nuggets) is freshly prepared. We use fresh chicken breast and no frozen food. The fries are also not out of the bag, they are made from fresh potatoes. For our salads we use different lettuces and other fresh products.
The ice cream for dessert is served with homemade whipped cream and pastries.
We therefore do not consider a price of 12 € to be too expensive.

Our cocktail ingredients we import also worldwide, we do not use the usual premix products.

We hope you enjoyed your stay with us anyway.

Best wishes
