“Fantastic Holiday at Mogan Valle Appartments”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

We stayed at the Mogan Valle Apartments for a week in march and were not disappointed with anything during our stay!

We stayed in Apartment 926 on the highest floor, it was a double apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and the largest balcony ever....complete with table, chairs , sun loungers and a shower!. There are no sea views as such as you are looking out across to the hill on the other side, but as views go this was fine for watching the world go by.

The apartment is a little basic on the cooking facilities, but there was a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, crockery , cleaning materials so pretty much everything you could want for for a weeks holiday. The bathrooms are large and well maintained with a hairdryer and 2 sinks.

Television is a bit nondescript......CNN & BBC world along with Eurosport in german! and the internet access was terrible ( maybe because we where away from the main reception area?

We had 4 lifts between reception and our apartment, but apart from taking the luggage to and from the rooms we used the stairs......and it is easy to navigate around, those people who say it is like a maze must need a sat-nav to get to the shops!!

Their is a SuperDino supermarket over the road which is open every day and is very well stocked, along with a Spar down by the seafront. Lots of little shops selling belts, trinkets etc around the resort.

We stayed full board which was good value with free drinks. Lunch s at the snack bar and you have whatever you want off the menu. Dinner is in 2 sittings - early for the kids or later for the adults. We tried both and preferred the later choice as their were only around 40 people in the restaurant. Food was basic but very nice with show cooking in the evening.

All the staff were extremely friendly and were always ready to help if required. I can say that not once did I think any of them were rude or unhelpful.

We would definitely return as it was one of the best holidays we have had in a long time.

One last thing...normally we don't go to hotels with lots of kids in them, but every child here was well behaved and to be honest...I didn't really notice them, so don't let it put you off being a family resort.

Room Tip: We had 926 which was spacious with a huge balcony. Higher floors get more sun and are more private.

It is my wifes birthday in early March so for the last few years we have stayed at the appartments. As you can guess, we love it! The supermaket is very near, not that we need very much as we tend to eat out. It is a relaxing holiday, by pool, on your balcony or stroll down to the beach area (approx. 15 minutes walk). The evenings can be cool, with a gentle breeze on occasions. All staff are very helpful, the rooms are kept clean and tidy, well equipped should you wish to eat in. The loyalty card is well worth having (available after your first visit). Pay for six stay for seven nights. I saved a lot of money booking through the hotel, also you get room preference, although not guananteed, saved enough to get a luxury taxi from the airport to the appartments (pre-booked with reception). This was a treat as Mogan Valle Appartments are always the last drop-off point. Rooms below the seventh floor can be shaded by trees/shrubs, not good if you want to relax on the balony late afteroon. Although it might be good in the summer to get out of the sun.

Room Tip: Above the seventh floor for the sun from 1100 to 1800.

Visited Cordial Mogan Valle again february 2014. we even asked for the same rooms as we liked the view from the spacious balcony and the quietness on seventh floor. The hotel is very clean with excellent swimming pools and helpful professional staff. The rooms have a generous size and are well equipped with all you need in kitchen. We have also joined the Cordial Club which gives us a discount on all purchases in the bar and restaurant. We like Puerto Mogan yery much and will be back next February again. Supermarket just a minute from the hotel.

Room Tip: Seventh floor romms 730 731 are quiet with view over the nice village

Visited the apartments for the fourth time in February and it never disappoints. Puerto de Mogan is a great location and I really do think this is the best place to stay there. The apartments are spacious, beds comfortable and the whole place well kept. Love the infinity pool and there's always room around it. Although it's about a 7 min walk to the beach, it's traffic free and a nice stroll at any time of day. We'll be back!

A sense of security and confidence is essential when bookinng a holiday and the Cordial Valle provides this in abundance. A month's holiday spent in the Valle in 2013 encouraged me to book again this year( January/February) but for an extended period of 6 weeks. I was not dissapointed.

This apartment hotel offers generous size bedroom which are well appointed, huge balconies three excellent swimming pools and a food operation to satisfy all tastes whether it be for a buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner or if required, you are able to book on a complete self catering basis. In other words, complete flexibilty to suit all preferred requirements. Who could ask for more?

The quality of service is consistently above average but especially in the Reception Department whose staff can comminicate fluently in numerous languages. This professional amd spontaneous service is experienced throughout the establishment. Our chambermaid Cristina was a shining example of the provision of exemplary service.

The standard of cleanliness and hygiene is above average but in a large apartment hotel like the Valle, Management have to ensure that a rigourus repair and maintenance programme is applied and monitored to maintain standards. The cleanliness of the swimming pools is outstanding as is the attention to the gardens
.
I will return!
.

Room Tip: Higher rooms are quieter and sunny

We have just returned from a one week holiday in Puerto Mogan. We don't normally return to the same places again but this one might be an exception. All areas are kept very clean, the 3 pools are lovely. Children are allowed but tended to be well behaved and quiet. The apartments are spacious, comfy and have all you could want (a minor quibble is that there is only one socket in the kitchen area so if you want to use the toaster, coffee machine and kettle this is a problem - solved by moving items around the apartment where there are lots of sockets, e.g. 7 in the bedroom and one in the kitchen?). The TV has BBC world news but not BBC1 etc. Wi-fi is free and available in your room on request from reception.
The sun did not hit our balcony until 10.30am due to the steep sides of the valley. Our balcony was huge - all on level G6 have these big balconies and was furnished with a small table and chairs plus sun loungers and side table. The balconies also have sun screens that you can pull out. The sofa and chairs are comfy and the dining area is fine. Some apartments can be complex to reach but G6 is straightforward.
The walk down from the apartments to the beach and port takes about 15 minutes but is a lovely walk on a pedestrianized route, with flowers and trees around. There is a great supermarket 2 minutes from reception with all you could need - lovely fresh produce, meats, cheeses and breads. The beach is clean, sandy and safe, 9 euros buys 2 sunbeds and a brolly. There are dozens of restaurants skirting the beach and port. Prices are dearer in the port area. All the food was good, non was exceptional. The area around the beach and port is lovely to walk around in the evening - there is a lively buzz but no disco's or rowdy entertainment. A lovely quiet holiday.
We booked a hire car for 2 days, went to Teror (a lovely mountain town and the Guayadeque valley - an unspoilt valley with a great interpretation centre of the island, its volcanic origin, the original inhabitants and the valley itself. Great restaurant right at the end of the valley with a maze of rooms serving food inside the cave - but the terrace outside had great views. Should have booked a third day and gone to Las Palmas also.
We booked our holiday with Thomas Cook and chose their transfer service which was fine - but they drop off at Puerto Mogan last so you spend the first 45 minutes going round all the other hotels before you even get going, and obviously its the same in reverse on the homeward journey and any trips you book. In future I would book a hire car for a week from the airport and drive direct.

Room Tip: We loved our room on G6 level- large balcony and easy access from reception

Really enjoyed our week here in February 2014. Great apartment with gorgeous balcony, totally private. Ask for top floor room 905. Interesting journey the first night to find room!!! 3 lifts and a walk, but once you've sussed it, not a problem. Reception staff are the best we've encountered in Spain. Maids also are lovely and friendly. Nice stroll 15 mins to Puerto De Mogan and once you get there....WOW! Flowers, canals, beautiful houses, beach and harbour all pretty. We'll be back.

Room Tip: High room 905 is good
