We stayed over New Year with our two children (6 & 4) the 1 bed apartment was lovely, the children slept in the bedroom and we had the fold out bed in the sitting room. Washing up liqued and sponge/tea towel were provided and the kitchen was adequate for a weeks stay, we only had breakfast in the apartment. The balcony was fantastic, huge with outdoor shower and two loungers and table and four chairs, we had the sun from approx 2PM which was perfect as our children slept for staying out a little later, so we could sunbathe!

The children's pool was fine, we tended to go to the beach in the morning as no sun on our side of the valley until lunch, we did find lots of sunbeds covered in towels with no owners in the afternoon and had a little search but always found a sunbed.

We only had one meal at the apartments which was their BBQ night, 9 Euro each, plenty to eat and good service.

The only gripe I had with the place was the price of drinks, quite expensive and you signed for each drink (thus not knowing the cost) we cottoned on from day one and then took our own beers from the Hypo Dino accross the road to the pool. For example it was less than 1 Euro for 3 litres of water in the shop and the pool bar charged 2.10 for a small bottle of water and the ice cream was 5 Euro for two!!

Aside from that would go back as lovely place, nice flat amble to the beach, the best beach bar is three from the end (looking at the sea turn to to your left!) 1.50 Euro for large beer, food is great and service too! Watch out on a Friday (Market Day) every price goes up, from shops to beers! The shops near the hyper dino at the back are good for cigarettes and perfume, they haggle too! All in all a fantastic holiday!

Room Tip: We had H619 High Enough for Sun but easy to get too!

Stayed for the sixth time and it was again very good. Very nice apartments. The personal is friendly. The apartments are clean and comfortable. We booked half board, it was good.
The apartments are on a two kilometre walk from the harbor of puerto de Mogan. A really nice walk to this beautiful village.

We spent 9 days at cordial mogan Valle over Christmas and loved it. The 2 bed, 2 bath apartment was spotless with large bedrooms/bathrooms, though the lounge/dining/kitchen area was fairly small but adequate. 2 pools (of 3) were heated and we swam every day - be aware that the pools were both over a metre deep all over. We ate out every evening (I think we might have struggled to do evening meals in the apartment kitchen (2 rings, microwave, but no oven)), and found loads of great places. The buffet in the hotel was good for breakfast, and v convenient for dinner if the kids were too tired to walk into town, but not brilliant. Puerto de mogan itself was lovely and about a 10 minute stroll down a nice pedestrian boulevard. We loved having an apartment with hotel services (cleaning, beds changed, kids club etc) and would really recommend for a relaxing break.

Visited for the fourth time as a New Year holiday. Apartments clean and well maintained, staff very friendly and service excellent. Absolutely no issues and will be booking for next year. Still great choice of restaurants down by the harbour and beach front areas. Handy supermarket over the road. No complaints whatsoever!

After having stayed a week at Cordial Mogan Playa, we decided that we wanted to try this hotel as well. A different concept from Mogan Playa, but definitely an excellent place this too. We spent a week on a self catering basis and had a very nice and relaxing time. When we arrived, we were received by Esther Castro at the reception, who to our great surprise spoke Norwegian very well. She told us she had been studying Norwegian by herself for three months only, but was now able to give information and answer our questions in Norwegian. Well done, Esther! She was very service minded and a great help during our stay like the rest of the staff. The appartment was quite spacious with a bedroom, a bathroom and a combined sitting room and kitchen. The terrace was big with a table and four chairs and two sunbeds which were changed to new and very comfortable ones the week we were there. There was also an outdoor shower on the terrace. Hiper Dino supermarket was right outside the hotel, so catering for ourselves was not a problem. If you wish, the hotel also offer halfboard or fullboard. There are three pools and several activities for children. Free wifi in all of the rooms, but sometimes a little difficult to log on. Easy to find parking for the car just outside the hotel. Puerto Mogan is probably the most charming resort on Gran Canaria, so Mogan Valle is a good choice, especially with children. Only a five to ten minutes' walk down to the beach and the harbour where there are lots of shops and restaurants.

My wife and I stayed at the Cordial Mogan Valle apartments for 10 days just before Christmas. We had requested an apartment not at ground floor level and were allocated apartment 911 which is on the uppermost level. Check in was very efficient and we were given lots of information about the hotel.

The apartment comprises one large bedroom, large bathroom, open plan kitchen/living room and balcony. The bedroom has two comfortable single beds, fitted wardrobes and dressing table, the patio doors open out on to the balcony. No air con but a ceiling fan helped keep the bedroom cool enough. There is a safe in the bedroom but this is an extra charge, you get the key from reception.

The bathroom is complete with integral shower over the bath (a power shower would be nice) and there is a hair dryer.

The kitchen had plenty of fittings if you want to self cater, including an oven, hob, fridge and microwave. We were on B&B and ate out in Mogan avery night so didn't really make much use of the kitchen.

The living area has a small flat screen tv but with limited english speaking channels it won't provide much in the way of entertainment. Wi-fi is free and I would advise taking a laptop or tablet with you.

The patio doors also open out onto the balcony and again there is a ceiling fan bit no air con.

The apartments are nice and clean and serviced almost every day. Our balcony was in shade for virtually all of the day.

The hotel can be something of a maze, there are 44 lifts, but once you find your way around then navigating is easy enough.

We were staying on a B&B basis and I would heartily recommend it. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant and is a buffet. There is loads to choose from including cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses, bread (lots of varieties), scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes. There is also an omlette station where omlettes and fried eggs are made to order. Fresh pancakes are also made here. The fruit juice is from a bank of machines and is very, very sweet. Coffee and hot chocolate are also dispensed via machines.

The buffet food is changed and replenished regularly and is very good quality. Unless you are the fussiest of eaters breakfast will set you up nicely for your day ahead. The restaurant staff are incredibly efficient and work tirelessly to keep tables cleared. Queues can form at the entrance at peak times but we never had a wait of any more than ten minutes.

There are plenty of activities going on at the hotel and lots for the children to do. The staff are all friendly and helpful. There is a small library of books in the reception area if you need something to read whilst lounging by the pool.

There are three pools and despite the claim that two of them are heated to 20 degrees C they were very, very cold. We never had any problem getting sunbeds (there is a notice asking people not to reserve sunbeds with towels but there are always those that ignore such requests).

The majority of guests in the hotel were Scandinavian and about 25% British. Lots of couples and families, a really nice mix.

Mogan is probably not your first choice for clubbing and late night drinking but for a relaxing holiday in a lovely location with plenty of good restaurants and tapas bars then it is ideal. The Cordial Mogan Valle apartments provide an excellent base for your holiday.
