This year will be our fourth saty at the Mythos Apts. Lovely family run place with resteraunt to the front. Clean rooms and excellent swimming pool. All the staff are very helpful and committed to making sure you have a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you can request a first or top floor room we would recommend. Try to avoid the pool side rooms.

Booked this complex through Thomsons holidays due to its excellent reviews on TripAdvisor and certainly was not disappointed. It was clear during my stay here that many many people come back year after year as they find it ticks as many boxes as possible for the budget.

This complex is ONLY available through Thomsons, so everyone staying here will be travelling from & to the UK.

I found the rooms to be very clean and of a much higher standard than I was used to in self catering. The balcony area was spacious. The pool area was excellent, it never felt crowded and there are so many spare sun loungers available. The in house restaurant at the front of the apartments on the road is also very good with good value food and huge portions.

The location of the hotel is perfect, just a minute's walk to the beach area. I certainly hope to be coming back here soon.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are slightly below ground level, so best avoided if possible as first and second...

This was the first time in Tingaki and indeed the first time in Kos, I was not disappointed. I found the Mythos Apartments very friendly. All the staff went out of their way to help if needed or just to say hello. Our one bedroom apartment was quite spacious and very clean. The towels and bedsheets were changed several times in the one week we stayed there by the maid who was very friendly and always had a smile on her face. There were a lot of mosquitoes about, and I did get bitten, but it was just bad luck we hit on the height of mosquito time. They had died down by the time we left. The air conditioning was 6 euros per day, and for that amount we had two air conditioning units in our apartment. The food in the hotel restaurant (Vassillis) was wonderful, so good we didn't bother going anywhere else. I would definitely stay at the Mythos Apartments again and highly recommend them.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 3rd floor (the top floor) overlooking the pool. There was also a sea view to t...

My husband and I stayed at the Mythos apartments for a week, we travelled with my parents.
We both had spotless, spacious apartments with each apartment comprising of a kitchen/dining area and 2 very large bedrooms with balcony and a bathroom with a shower and a bath which was a nice treat as usually in Greece a shower only is the norm in apartments. Really if it had been a bookable option one apartment between the four of us would have been enough as we ended up having a whole double room spare each. I suppose on the plus side it meant a double wardrobe to myself and also we exited to balcony via spare room in order to minimize mozzies escaping into our sleeping quarters.
We upgraded to half board as it was such fantastic value at 110 Euro's per person. You were allowed any starter from the extensive menu, my personal favourite was the stuffed jacket potatoes with cheese and bacon. Also you could select pretty much any main course you wanted, there was so much choice we tried something different most nights. There were fish dishes, steaks, Greek specialities along with pizza and pasta's. The swordfish was amazing, as was the stiffado.
The staff were always very attentive and polite, nothing was too much trouble.
Drinks in the bar were nice and cocktails were reasonably priced and tasty, once per week there is a BBQ and quiz night which we also enjoyed. The pool area was lovely and clean and the water temperature comfortable. The hotel also own the supermarket next door, and it was handy for things like bottled water and mozzie candles etc.
Tingaki is fairly small but there is a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants and it has its own beach. We hired a car for the week which we used to explore this beautiful island.
Would recommend going into the Zia mountains where the little hilltop villages are so pretty and quaint. There is a café with an old water mill which make home-made lemon juice, so refreshing! and the views are amazing. Koz town is also a lovely place to look around and there are archaeological sites which are free to look around. On our final day we took a hydrofoil over to Bodrum which is only a 25 min crossing, it gave us a little insight into what Turkey was like and it was very bustling and clean worth a look.
All in all we had a fab time in Kos and the people demonstrated such warmth and hospitality it is our pleasure to recommend the island to people. Everywhere we visited was spotless. The only slight snag was the abundance of mosquito and this was only due to close proximity to the salt lake and June is apparently the main breeding season. I was covered in bites despite wearing European strength repellent, so next time would definitely wear the maximum tropical strength.
The weather was around 30-32 degrees all week with clear blue skies, and the Aegean sea is the most pretty shades of blues and turquoise so clear. Will definitely return again, loved it!

Room Tip: The low level rooms are really handy for accessing the pool, the music in bar can be heard to around...

Stayed at the mythos for 2 weeks this year after having a weeks stay last year and had fantastic time. We have a 7 and4 year old and they loved it, the swimming pool is never busy and plenty of sunbeds. The apartments are cleaned daily and maids do such good job, the staff here are great ESP the two kostas.

The beach is lovely, even though when we went the beach was being cleared of sea weed we went exploring and found bits that were empty of sea weed.

Spyros across the road does amazing food and tingaki restaurant on the beach but we never had one bad meal, and to be honest where ever you eat in tingaki you will get a good meal.

We rented a car for couple of days and explored the whole of Kos and it really does have something for everyone, the 3 island tour is great and of course zia is a must for the sunset. The travel company across the road from the mythos is the best and louise there is so helpful.

To sum it up this place has it all, we plan to do all again next year, enjoy.

I would like to say you must ignore all the negative reviews on the mythos apartments
we stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment facing the back . yes theres a small amout of wasteland
at the back but who would notice that when you have those gorgeous views of the beach sea and mountains . yes there was mosquitoes but nothing worth crying over as to be fair not mythos fault .
apartment was immaculate and yes the cooking area was quite small but who on earth wants to sit in their apartment cooking when theres so may fabulous restaurants to eat at . all really excellent with excellent prices . Everry morning we had breakfast at the pool but our favourite was the meni restaurant next door and the rodinis at the top of the road was fab . beach was fantastic seaweed did not stop us going in as was only at waters edge and sea was amazing . The staff were really friendly and rep lee was around if you needed him helpful and not pushy . We did the zia trip 8 euros return took up to the mountain to watch the sunset we ate in a fabulous restaurant with amazing views was worth every penny (meall not inc)
no worries about getting a sunbed and pool area spotless
Overall a fantastic break would stay here again, and as I have been a travel agent for the last 15 years I will be recommending this to all
fab fab fab

Room Tip: request room 41 . fantastic views

we stayed at the mythos apts from 26th may/9thjune, room 18 first floor
first lets get the not so good out of the way... it was the mosquitoes time...and by god it was i have never seen so many, we could not sit out on our balcony at all for the first week it was that bad,, room 18 looked out to the sea and the mountains and also some land wich would of been nice but for the truck loads emptying sea weed out there, maybe this is why the mythos was swarmed with the mossies ?
also the main street was plagued by them because of the bright lights, some restaurants did have the orange lights on wich helped i little,
lots of people had been bitten and i had to go to the hospital with mine, my legs are still bad going to see my dr today
if i had known this was the mosquitoes time i would not of gone so early in the year.
how ever my sis and bro in law joined us the second week ( room 14 ) and mossies had calmed down a little,
the apts are in a good area straight out to the main st, with plenty of bars ans restaurants,
we had breakfast once and tried a snack by the pool never bothered with they restaurant
lots of children having fun in the pool but a bit small i think,
the maids were nice and kept it clean
basic kitchen but no bother as we are use to this in Greece it had what we needed but a toaster would be nice,
the safe in your room is FREE and A/C is 6euro a day
as others have said bathroom dark but clean, ladies hair dryer in the main bedroom above the dresser with mirror,
25 euro to keep your room on till 8, wich you have to do if you have a late flight out, there is no room for you to shower and change..... ( con if you ask me )
the rep lee seemed nice enough lad, we never needed him for anything tho, no point moaning to him about the mossies, it was out of his hands, but saying that he did suggest a walk around the salt lake to see the flamingos......dont do this walk this time of the year.......(mossies)
we enjoyed tigaki we had some good nights out had some lovely food, i would recommend tigaki but to be honest i dont know how mythos is number 2

Room Tip: sea view rooms have the sun all morning and pool view have till late evening, a lot of the basement...
