“Excellent for a value”

Everything we can say is a really joyful and relaxing experience! This hotel, although relatively large and fully booked during our stay, had a calm and not disturbing atmosphere. Built on a large surface, but not more than two stores, we had never seen much people moving around, so we had feeling to be in a much smaller hotel. Even at the time of eating, the pressure was not so high.

Two very nice and clean pools for adults and two for kids are a guarantee for fun and relax. Pools are surrounded with beautiful garden with a lot of flowers and tropic trees. Vicinity (4 min 20 sec, :-)) from our room to sea entrance was delightful! Beach is very long and sandy, and apparently clean. Our kids adored playing in sand and fooling around without any serious attention. Although in such a condition, the beach was never overcrowded and we liked this as well.

The food was nice, diverse and spicy, especially for dinner. The service was very kind and helpful, cleanliness perfect. Room we had was not so comfortable regarding the size, but had a very nice balcony and beautiful view on pools.

The bus station is on the way to the beach, so easy transport to Kos town is provided. We spent also very nice and interesting time in local visits.

As a conclusion, everything we matter regarding the leisure time on sea with small kids was really excellent for money we gave. We shall absolutely recommend this hotel to our friends.

My wife booked our holiday, so I had no idea what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Hotel:
The hotel is about 150 metres from Tigaki beach. It is clean (a small army of cleaners arrives each day). Reception is helpful. Shop is well-stocked. Bar service: I recommend you order, pay, and collect at the bar. Don't wait for the waitress or you'll be there all day. Restaurant: Food is okay, if repetitive. But we ate our fill each night, and none of us got sick. Rooms: This is a four-star hotel. The room we had was perfectly adequate (bath, toilet, bidet, single beds pushed together, TV, fridge, balcony, not too many mosquitoes) and we slept like logs. Lovely air-conditioning, though TV had only one English channel. Entertainment: Asleep by 10 each night, so no idea, I'm afraid.

Beach:
Great. Shallow for at least 50 metres, and probably more, if you care to venture further. Consequently, very good for children. Yes, there's a bit of seaweed at the shore - carry them over it. All sandy, no stones for their little feet. Pay 5 Euro at hotel reception for two sunbeds, or 6 Euro on the beach. Look out for the fruit truck and the doughnut seller... One thing - the wind is prone to get up, so hang on to your lilo. And children.

Amenities:
From the hotel driveway, turn left and walk 200 metres to the shops and restaurants. We found everything we needed right there. On the corner, look for the tourist office for local information, trips, etc. Cars, mopeds, beach buggies and quad-bikes can be hired from the hotel, and seem relatively cheap.

Weather:
We went for a week in July, and hardly saw a cloud. Temperature was mid to high thirties. As mentioned before, though, the wind can get up. This is good for keeping you cool, and if your child likes to play in waves it's a win-win.

Overall:
Four-star hotel, but a five-star holiday. In the immortal words of the Terminator, "I'll be back".

To qualify all of the above, we went in the week before most English schools break up, therefore we acknowledge that things were probably unusually quiet. Indeed, towards the end (24th July), the hotel was getting much busier. At the time, there were very few English guests, and most were German.

Me and my wife visited this hotel midsummer. The room looked liked it belonged in the early nineties. Although the hotel from the outside looks rather good the inside is totally crap. The elevator was broken the other one was not working properly and the most important of all the barth towels had hair . Also the duvet had long hair on it and the wc seat had pubic hair on!!!! My wife spotted nails that had been cut from a previous customer and were abandoned on the top of the bed. Be aware that this room was given as a totally disinfected and cleaned from the maids of the hortel After 5 hours we decided to change hotels and when we went to the reception desk for check out they charged us 90,00 euros which was the price for the whole day stating that it was inevitable to give the same room to another customer at 18 30 in the aternoon. We paid , and left to search for a more decent, liveable and most important clean room to stay. I lamost forgot to inform you that the fridge and the telephone inside were out of order......

Tigaki is a beautiful resort, it has a fantastic sandy beach with clear water that is ideal for young children due to the fact that it is pretty shallow for about 100 yards. There are loads of places to eat and lots of bars but that said it is not a noisy resort and is well suited to families and couples alike.

me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel in august 2008. we stayed in the completly new part of the hotel(you have to book superior rooms to get in the new part probably). the room was great. it is comfortable and with nice furniture. all the views are to the pool. the hotel restaurant was nice too, but it doesn't have air condition. the food was great. everday was something different to eat and there was a greek evening too. the entertaining was poor but that didn't matter to us. the pool is great. you have to walk 2-3 minutes to the beach. but is better to look for good sunbeds and not just take the first one. we found really great sunbeds(yellow) and they were really big and comfortable. the sea is great and the water is nice temeprature. the tigaki village is nice. you have plenty of bars / restaurants to choose. and there are plenty of souvenir shops. but you may take a walk to the supermarket(it is in the end of the tigaki beach) where you can find even more souvenirs and things.
i would say you go on a trip througn the island or gon on Nisyros island-volcano. it really is a great trip and you see the typical greek village with white houses and blue doors. beautiful!
this was our first all alone holiday together and we really had a great time.
