Labranda Marine Aquapark Resort
Ranked #6 of 24 Hotels in Tigaki
Reviewed October 22, 2012

We visited this resort on our honeymoon and the only faults I have with the place were that the place was mainly aimed at a German audience, even down to the evening entertainment and the food wasn't great. Mostly seafood dishes which neither of us are fond of. Other than those minor points we had a great time. Would love to return with our 2 children as they'd both love this place! Waterpark/ pools are great for little ones.
We hired bikes one day (very reasonable cost) and biked to the nearby Therma... not as near as you'd think! There's a lovely little British bar in Kos town where we made friends with the owners and we spent a lot of time watching the F1 (yes even on honeymoon!) they even bought us a gift when we left, lovely people :)
Wouldnt recommend walking into Kos as its a LOT longer than you think! But manageable on mountain bikes, even in the baking sun.
A good holiday... would recommend :)

we have just came back from this hotel and i have to say it is one of the best value hotels we have ever stayed in. our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 children, aged 3 and 7.The hotel is a childrens heaven, plenty of pools including slides, not too deep so the little ones can join in, and there is a wave pool as well as a deeper pool for the adults in a quiet spot if its peace you are after. The entertainment team work their socks off day and night. The food is of a good standard with plenty of choice. One warning, beware of the french, they enter the dining room like a herd of wilderbeast. So if you are thinking of going, don't hesitate. I can imagine the hotel being very busy at peak times but it was perfect when we were there.last week in september. weather in the 80's every day. we will be back.

Room Tip: all rooms are good but you could request a room near the pool.

We stayed at this hotel in June 2012. Really can't find anything to complain about. The staff are friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel after the restaurant had closed, when we checked in sandwiches had been prepared for us, nice touch. No complaints with regards to the food or our room, air con was great. The bar staff are cheery and well organised, yes you have to que but not for long. The lifeguards at the poolsides are always on the ball, reassuring for those with young families. The beach is not the best but the pools are great.

Hope this is of help

I came here with the wife and three girlies aged 2/4/6. There are obviously very mixed reviews on this resort and this review will fall in between. Dates stayed 22.9 - 3.10.
Booked through Sunmaster.
We arrived at the resort just after 9pm by coach transfer to the resort which was ok. Reception were great and immediately hurried us through to the dining room to eat as it was closing. Nice touch as we were hungry. Shown to room ... as follows.
Large bedroomed rooms. Very basic but clean.
Bathroom poorly finished in all honesty and whole block could have done with updating. Mattresses on beds like sleeping on a sheet of iron! Air con great and blocks quite ECO as it wouldn't switch on with doors open or no electricity without a card. Fridge just inside door for chilling water and beer. Great shutters that keep the sunlight out in the morning - my girls are early risers.
Food - we stayed on a A.I basis. We were obviously off peak (just) but the resort was still quite busy. However it was never a problem getting even a 6 seater table and things were cleared away rapidly. Quite an eclectic array of food choices. My girls are not particularly adventurous - thank God for pasta and chips. Yes quite sad I know. Plenty of fresh salads and cakes though and they did have a couple of evening specials ( gyro / fish etc ). Whilst the dispenser says fresh orange it certainly isn't. It is squash. The food is 3* - plentiful and hot however nothing to write home about.
The park itself is fantastic for the pools. Very clean and no hassles getting a lounger. I went down at 8am to lay towels and invariably there were only 2/3 laid out. I was prepared to give this resort 4* until a couple of things cropped up.
The resort itself was full of tattoed chavvs which lends significant weight to the fact that my expectations were probably way too high. The all inclusive drinks and cocktails were OK however the pool bar ( the only one open during the day ) ran out of various spirits & liquors. I would NEVER expect a 4* place to do that. The drinks were passable and the staff decent enough and they tried hard ( especially with some seemingly British powerdrinking parties there! ).
I would like to have seen a snack bar. Again it was a real bind having to go in - change - then lunch. Would expect this on a 4*
Mentioned a lot on here are Iqbal & Abbas. They are a real credit to this resort. How they remember all the kids names is beyond me.
The pools are fantastic. Great slides and great wave pool. Only gripes were one day 2 alsation type dogs decided to run amok in the wave pool. How they got in as far as there god only knows. Also thousands of flying ants decided to commit suicide one afternoon in the wave pool. Not good.
I won't go over the beach. Rocky & treacherous for youngsters. Walk left and IN 5 mins you get a great sandy beach. Water clear and sublime. Guy does 2 loungers for €5 and cheap beer.
Fram and the kids club has been covered already. This is my take on it all. The kids club just seemed like a place to dump your kids off - however saying this my 2 girls ( 4 & 6 ) wanted to go back. After the first week they closed the club however stating " end of the season ". This coincided with a French Saga trip arriving. These elderly French folk invariably crowded the only bar and were rude. Fram staff though did try hard though on what seemingly spartan resources they had. My girls loved the mini disco in the evening.
We were put in a block quite far from the main building - forget WI-FI - very poor.
Kos town is lovely and 20mins from the resort by bus. Cost €4 for all of us. Large beer €1.50 don't be duped into paying more.
Would I go back - I really don't know? It is an average 3* resort. I fear I probably paid too much for what it was.
Top tip - bring the youngsters DVDS for the evening / down time / nap time.

Just returned from a 7 day stay here with son and partner, we all had a great time except the entertainment at night was very poor. Entertainment is organised by the French travel agency called Fram, so it is more suited for the French people who are staying at the hotel. Beware of the chief entertainments mananger Jean Charles he is one arrogant person.
On the plus side the food is very good and caters for all people, I have read previous reviews saying food is bad but I totally dis agree with them. The resort and rooms are spot less the cleaners work very hard in making sure it is kept clean.
The slides will provide a lot of fun for the children plus the wave pool is excellent. The 2 lifeguards at the resort are absolutely brilliant, and so is Panos who works behind the poolside bar at night.
All inclusive runs from 10am until 11pm this include free beer, wine, spirits, tea, coffee, soft drinks, ice cream and cocktails.
The resort is isolated but a bus stop is at the end of the road to get into Kos town centre, it runs 10 past the hour into Kos nad on the hour back to the resort it only cost just over a Euro per person.
All in all a good holiday, would I return here, yes but I would not do 2 weeks I think 1 week would be enough for anyone.

Me and my partner spent two weeks in All inclusive at Aquis Marine Resort, and I must say that both of us were really pleased with the place, even considering that i do work in this industry!

A very large waves pool that works for 15 minutes every hour, and another pool just behind the waves one more quiet, but where is done the water polo games, every day at 11.00am. Kids pools and Aquapark (5 slides - lots of fun) both in diferent areas of the property. Plenty of sun longers, you will always find some available, as we did, no matter what time you would arrive.

2 Restaurants, one serving Á La Carte (we didn't try) and a Themed buffet restaurant, and you can eat in either without paying any extra! Buffet restaurant with about 220 seats, so not hard to find a table, self service drinks available all day in the restaurant, with several machines around the restaurant.
2 Bars one in front of the waves pool, with nice staff willing to do anything that you ask, also a few cocktails available. Another one next to reception area, not so friendly member of staff there, but i suppose every hotel has someone like that! In this bar they serve some snacks beetwen 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
A lot of Entertainment during the day and in the evening (the entertainment is run by FRAM), with water polo, football, dards, aqua gym, etc,etc...Very nice staff on entertainment team, Manuel & Maria probably the best ones, but all the others were really nice also. They do all the entertainment on evenings from kids entertainment at 8.00 pm and at 9.30 for adults, and a kids club all day to take care of your kids with a member of staff.

Pool Tables in reception bar(Extra cost), table tennis, basketball balls etc all available with a deposit of 5€. Wi-FI free at all the hotel however didn't work for android :(,All of them for free!!

Stantard decorated rooms with AC for free, with everything you need it, The beds were confy, and clean! Towels changed and rooms cleaned every day
They give you a sheet with a map of the Hotel and with all the timings etc, all the information you need to know.
The hotel is in a quiet location, but the bus to KOS town is only 1.40€ away.

No cash machine in the area however reception will be happy to change pounds to euros without any comission, so great touch.

Take the bus go to KOS, see the greek ruines a shops, spend a day in Bodrum Turkey, is only one hour aways on the boat for 15€, buy the tickets on the PORT, not with the Tour operators as it is much more expensive!

A lot to do and every day to everyone!!

Staff is all very friendly, no one look at you no matter as much as you drink, treat them with respect and they will do the same for you, they do work very hard, 12 hours a day 7 days a week, So treat everyone as you want to be treated!!

All in all i must say this was well above our expections, with myself being very fussy, as I am an Hotelier, we were very happy with the Choice!!

The only tip that I have for all of you Holiday Makers, is be carefull with the times of the flights as Kos airport is not that big and we end up like sardines on the day of coming back.

Don't hesitate, just book, and I hope you will enjoy as much as we did!!!

Regards
Francisco Macedo

We found the complex really good, quite a way from Tigaki, too far to walk, but a decent beach was only a five minute walk away. The food and board were of a great standard, unfortunately the Greeks can't produce good quality red wine, but the rest of the all inclusive alcohol was good, unlimited amounts of soft drinks and water were on tap. Overall a nice surprise.
