What a totally relaxing and friendly place these apartments are. I can't really add anything more than all the other reviewers have said. Exceptionally clean throughout, large pool and plenty of sun beds, didn't eat in the evening but lunch menu and quality of food excellent, some of it from their own garden. Owners and staff brilliant.
Plenty of restaurants and bars, regular and cheap local buses, large supermarket nearby, bakery just down the road. Not much in the way of shops, if you need a bit of retail therapy then jump on the bus to Kos town, which is well worth a visit or two. We're not beach people but it looked very nice and clean.
The salt lake is not far away so be sensible and use mozzie spray, we were there for 2 weeks in June and didn't have one bite but we saw quite a few people with lots of bites.
We were in one of the 2 studios, they are on the lower floor at the end of the corridor. One has pool view the other mountain view. They used to be a 2 bedroom apartment but were split to add a fire escape, they are 'cosy' compared to the apartments but you just need to be tidy, plus you only have to pay for 1 air con unit (5 Euros) and it works very well, as does the shower which has a proper raised edge base and a curtain that fits.
If you have already booked and are used to Greek self catering then congratulations, you won't be disappointed, if you are thinking of booking JUST DO IT if you can still get in that is.

Room Tip: We moved from a studio to an apartment on the last day just for late check out, would definitely boo...

My husband and I have just returned from a holiday in kos and we stayed in the lovely mayflower apartments from the minute we got there to the day we left all the staff made you feel part of their family, the grounds and rooms are spotless and well kept food was lovely and wasn't over priced,
it was a lovely 10min walk to the strip were you can find lots of bars and plenty of places to eat out.

Ok so I'm biased having recently returned 19th -29th June from my 15th visit to the Mayflower Apartments and like many of the other reviewers cannot recommend this Aparthotel enough. Why do I return so often well its ticks all the boxes for me . A family run complex who know how to look after their guests to such an extent you feel and become part of their family. Nothing is to much trouble. Excellent food , pool and surroundings being far enough but close enough to the town and beach. The fact that so many guests return year after year is testament to the place and recommendation enough. The Mayflower is Utopia but please do not book as I want to make sure I can return next year .

Room Tip: All rooms have excellent views either pool or mountain

Excellent self catering apartments, very spacious and clean, the apartment was cleaned regularly by the staff and was well equipped with everything you would need, and I would say well above the average self catering apartments you usually get in Greece. In our group there were two adults and two kids of ten and eight years old, and we had a two bedroom apartment with a double and two single beds, I must say the double was very comfy but the singles a little hard but OK. It was very hot while we were there so we had the air conditioning on which costs extra but works perfectly.

The bar and pool areas are excellent, you could always get a sun lounger and all the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you. The prices at the bar are very reasonable and the food is very tasty, good quality and value for money, couldn't of asked for more really. The Greek night on a Monday night is a must, well worth the money, had an excellent time! The only niggle are the mosquitos, take plenty of bug-off spray.

I would thoroughly recommend these apartments.

Room Tip: Our room was number 301, it was excellent.

My wife and I stayed at the Mayflower Apartments 15-22 May this year. Weather was warm (around 28C) and sunny during our entire stay. Like most other reviewers, we can highly recommend this property. Indeed, we cannot find anything to moan about!
Hotel and rooms were clean and secure. The large pool was a delight with plenty of beds and space surrounding it. Reasonably priced food was available throughout the day and was very popular with guests. The reception, bar and outside areas are clean and spacious and the hotel has pretty gardens to the side and rear. You can see for miles in all directions as there are no tall buildings nearby.
Staff are on duty 24/7 so you can always sort out any problems or ask for advice.
Free Wi-Fi is available in and around the reception area. Currency exchange is available at reception. A large selection of books and magazines are available for borrowing or exchange.
The area around the hotel is flat, with country roads leading in all directions and a walk to the nearby salt lake is highly recommended. Turn left outside the hotel and continue straight on for almost half a mile to find an excellent bakery on your left..
The only noise you hear near the hotel is from the large variety of local farm animals and frogs. The beach is just under a mile away at the bottom of the busy main street where most of the restraunts and shops are located. Two bank ATMs are located near the beach.
Local buses run regularly to Kos Town from the main street so you can easily go there for a stroll and evening meal. Various bus and island-hopping excursions are easily booked from local agencies at reasonable prices. Bike hire is very popular for 4-6 euro per day. I enjoyed a boat trip to Bodrum in Turkey for several hours for 30 euro.
I have included two personal pictures of the hotel.

Just came back from a week in the Mayflower, and this excellent family run apartment block was great. The food in the bar is excellent, and served all day, the rooms are fairly basic, but spotless, with all you need for self catering, and the staff can't be more delightful. For several years we have shunned self-catering holidays, but a visit here was enough to convert us.........we have already booked another week in October this year. The beach, shops, tavernas and buses are all only minutes away. Recommended 100%.

Room Tip: There are a few mosquitos.....it is Greece, but just buy some anti mosi spray, it worked for us. Ro...

Just returned from a week at the Mayflower. Read all the reviews before we went and apart from one complaining about smokers and dogs the place seemed to good to be true. It was as reviewed by many people, excellent! Spotless, the family couldn't do enough for us and the food and drinks in the bar where not much different in price to the other bars and restaurants in resort. Can recommend the Sausage Pitta Wrap and the Greek Evening BBQ was excellent value and the food both plentiful and well cooked and presented. Aubergine with salt and vinegar were amazing. The beds were a bit hard but okay, all very clean even if the linen is a bit tired. May the little dog was delightful and not a problem at all and as for smokers, well the owners can't really do much about that can they? I hate smoke but didn't find it a problem at all but that is down to who is staying at the same time of you and not really anything the Mayflower folk can control. A little way out of town but the roads around have just had some sort of works done and so there is a nice metre wide strip on most roads which were nice and smooth to walk on. Five minutes to the best supermarket we have come across for self catering and about the same to the nearest of the restaurants, probably 25 minutes to the beach. Beach had seaweed so the beach at Marmari (3 kilometers away) was better. However the pool at the Mayflower is beautifully kept and after the initial shock the water was quite warm, plenty of sunbeds available. We will definately be going back! Don't miss out on this gem, it is great.

Room Tip: We asked for a non smoking room before arrival and got one. We had a mountain view room and this was...
