We booked these apartments at the last minute - couldn't have been better. Lovely room overlooking the pool, spotlessly clean. 10 minute walk to beach, lovely bakery a couple of hundred metres away, good supermarket Oneiro. Also Julie's supermarket by beach was very good. Some nice tavernas included Meni, Vassillis and Scala.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking pool get late afternoon / early evening sun

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Kalloudis hotel and cannot praise this place enough. The hotel itself is very clean, modern & spacious and the rooms offer all you need for a self catering basis.

Before arriving we were initially dubious of some of the negative reviews we had seen but we received such a welcoming arrival from the family that it was clear there would be no issues.

To see a review below saying that the family were rude and that you would be told off for arriving back at the hotel after 10pm is utterly ridiculous! Please do not think this is the case. We were always greeted every time we entered or exited the reception area with a friendly smile be it from a member of the family or the receptionist. In terms of the so called 'curfew' we arrived back at the hotel after midnight every single night for two weeks, had drinks in the hotel bar and the owner (Adonis) was pleased to have us their and never once treated us with any animosity.

Tigaki itself was a fantastic area of the island to stay offering plenty of bars & restaurants along the main street. Our most recommended restaurants would be Spyros, Mylos, Asperos and Ikaros. We found the best cocktail bar to be Kivotos with the offer of great cocktails, friendly staff and fantastic wifi. There are also many places along the main street where you can arrange trips, the Kos Island tour and boat trip to Turkey were really worthwhile and great value for money.

We would certainly like to return to Kos again and definitely to the Kalloudis. Overall a great location & excellent hotel run by a very welcoming family. 'HIGHLY RECOMMENDED'

I stayed here the first week of July as a party of three. We arrived at approx 8 30 pm and were greeted with a smile and all our initial questions answered freely. Very pleased to find there were safety deposit boxes in reception. On arriving in our room with were all very pleasantly suprised at how large it was and spotlessly clean. Nice large balcony with table and chairs both on the balcony and inside the room. Small kitchenette area with all the basic facilities you would need, but who wants to cook on holiday!! Temperature of water and the pressure I don't think is particular to these appartments, wherever I have stayed in Greece it has been the same and is only a very minor inconvenience. Who ever we spoke to at the hotel be they owner , family or staff we found to be very friendly and helpful. The pool area was spacious with plenty of sunbeds. Pool bar was great. Tigaki is a great place with enough tavernas restuarants and bars to keep you busy and a very beautiful large sandy beach. Kalloudis is well positioned near the top of the main street but still only a 10 minute stroll down to the beach. I must just add that we had a few nights when we didnt get back til the early hours and were never once told off!! There is no entertainment here but we knew that before we arrived and is one of the reasons we choose it. All in all we had a really great holiday here and wouldn't hesitate to return.

After a 4 hour delay to our flight 2 toddlers 2 grandparents and 2 parents arrived at the Kalloudis tired and fed up but the Hotel put these feelings aside immediately with the clean and welcoming recption/bar area where at 5am we found our room keys laid out with a lovely note providing a welcome and directions. From here we found our apartment and studio to be way better than expected clean and modern with a superb location overlooking the pool. The thoughtfulness of the staff gave us adjoining rooms and a cot I forgot to ask for when booking. The rooms are superb and the only reason this is a very good is the shower... hot water hit and miss and water pressure hit and miss plus our drain was blocked but!! I found this all good fun but my two toddlers and wife found it a pain.
This is my only minor complaint wich is more greek plumbing in general. The owner made a point to greet us when he spotted us the first day and made us feel like family friends. I can not praise high enough the owner and his family/staff a true gentleman and some of the most friendly and genuine people I have met. We were treated fantastically and despite the shower 6 out of 6 of my party are eager to return next year. You arrive a guest and leave a friend, do not believe the negative reviews on here.

If you go on holiday to spend all day in the room playing board games,or by the pool with no entertainment then this is the place for you. All guests, mainly German guests, are asleep by 10 o'clock. So returning at anytime past then is unacceptable and you will be told this by staff. Pool bar lady nice, receptionist beyond rude (she speaks perfect English) certain elements not mentioned here have been reported to Thomas Cook. Excellent hotel over the road to your right called Angela hotel , very welcoming great staff and food.
