This is wonderful and charming place! We really were in the village of France . Clean air, beautiful views. This place near to Chateaux of the Loire, about 20-30 minutes by car. The owners are very hospitable, fine people. We did not expect so warm reception! The breakfast is easy but very tasty. A lot of jams were prepared by the owner Patrisia. Room is clean and comfortable. You can use the kitchen if it was needed for you. Free parking and wi-fi. A great combination of price and quality. We were very happy to live in this wonderful hotel!

This is our 3rd stay (previously we stopped for 1 night in March 2013 and liked it so much we stayed for 2 nights on our return leg of our vacation) This is a great place to relax - warmly welcomed by Patricia and Danny - with a chat over a glass of wine. We made use of the cooking facilities to eat in, the fresh eggs were delicious! Our room was well-appointed and comfortable, with great views over the valley. Breakfast is excellent, and do try Patricia's preserves and cake.
This is a great location for local sight-seeing. There is a mountain of tourist information, and, just ask Danny for advice. The local châteaux are worth seeing especially Chenonceau.
We usually don't stay a the same place more than once - but here we have made an exception! We will be back, if only to sample a Saturday night meal, and, the local restaurant that other reviewers seem to like.

Room Tip: If you are staying more than a few nights, check for the option of one of the studios, which are wel...

We stayed with Danny and Patricia for a week last October and had such an amazing holiday! We were originally going to stay in 2 different places to move around, but after reading the reviews decided to just stay here. The reviews were right… from the moment we arrived, we loved it! Danny was so welcoming and laid back… he just chatted with us to start with over a glass of wine. Our room was simple with a lovely verandah to enjoy some wine and the garden. I would probably take my own pillows and duvet if I went again, but that is me being fussy and I would absolutely return again! We got to enjoy one of Patricia's meals on the Saturday night with some other guests - the aperitifs, food, wine, digestif's and company were all brilliant! The rest of the week we had full use of the kitchen (we bought some food from the market and supermarket) or we went down the road to the next village where we had an incredible 4 course meal for about 13 Euro! Danny gave us some brilliant advice about what to visit and what to miss and one day we borrowed there bikes and just cycled around the area… it is quite rural, but this is one of the things we loved about it! Honestly one of the best holidays we've had and we look forward to returning again. Thanks Danny and Patricia!!

Loved this B&B as it is in a tiny village, very authentic, reasonably priced and a very relaxing atmosphere. Hosts are dlightful and full of inormation of surrounding areas and castles of the Loire Valley. They have prepared booklets with all the information required and different circuits.
The b'fast was correct, room adequate, gardens surrounding delightful. If you looking for a B&B with charm, character and value for money La Marechalerie has it all

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights in September and had a brilliant time. We were travelling by motorcycle and it is the ideal spot for touring the countryside.

Danny and Patricia are excellent hosts and full of information and sent us to places we would never have known about. They had arranged breakfast for everyone at 8.30 a.m. which was a brilliant way to get all the guests to meet each other. You felt like they really enjoyed having you in their home and not just to take your money. Danny was always reminding you to help yourself to the wine in the fridge and he also helped us to book your onward accommodation which was very helpful.

Patricia was charming, even she couldn't speak very much english but seemed to understand it well enough to join in and tease my husband about not speaking french.

The saturday night meal is a must as it again really makes you feel like you are a welcomed guest and there is no shortage of drinks included in the price.

Again thanks for the stay and we would definiately stay here again.

A lovely stay and a memorable experience - thanks Danny and Patricia.

We loved the area, we loved the accommodation, we loved the breakfasts, we loved the friendly conversations with the other guests, assisted by Danny's linguistic skills and we really appreciated Danny's carefully prepared maps and itineraries.

Try the Tabac/Restaurant down in the next village, run by Didier and his charming wife - no Menu, just a fabulous 4-Course Dinner with wine and coffee included, for under 13 Euros per head!!

All in all, a super stay that we extended on the strength of our first day!!

For anoraks, Danny has an eclectic selection of Citroen cars, a Citroen 2CV based Tractor and some interesting looking vintage bicycles!

Room Tip: Choose a room looking over the gardens.

We went to La Marechalerie in august 2012 and we descovered a very beautiful place to stay , comfortable , warm , clean ,the living was very interesting - we really felt like home .We descovered a very quiet and picturesque place, very friendly owners who would always help you with anything. It is very easy to become friends with Dany and Patricia because they are very open , easy to talk to, sincere and poliglots. Because of them we would definitely like to be back again. You must live
this french experience !
Thats why France is beautiful - because of the people ,their imagination and their idea of living shared with others.
