Love our stay at this sprawling villa
Every detail is covered for the most comfortable stay possible on a beach resort
It is needless to say, very tastefully furnished and clean
The manager and staff are so accommodating and ready to please at all times
He even goes out to buy our local breakfast and meals to satisfy our craving
The villa is located on a quiet beach and yet within easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and bars
Everyone is happy and smiling
We are so happy with our stay here that we highly recommend to any guest looking for the perfect beach holiday
We were a group of 4 ladies who were recommended to take a vacation away from the usual bustling hotspots of Bali, Koh Samui, Phuket etc to stay at Gili Trawagan/Lombok. An idyllic island that lies between Lombok and Bali. Silkair flies twice a week to Lombok which is perfect for a mid week to weekend retreat. We booked into Villa Hari Puri/Gili Trawagan which, is conveniently located on a quiet and private stretch of beach and yet walking distance to the restaurants/pubs and spas.
On arrival at the airport after a 2.5 hours flight from Singapore, the Villa Hari Puri owners arranged an air-conditioned vehicle to the Pier. The 2 hour scenic drive was breathtaking and at the Pier we were on board the private speed boat to Gili Trawagan in 15 minutes! Gili Trawagan is a perfect gateaway that offers fabulous local and international cuisine & seafood. We particularly enjoyed the local fare of Indonesian oxtail soup, barbecued fish and all food local! Tuk-Tuks (island transport) are easily available and we took a tour of the island, which is an easy coastal ride of coconut trees lining the beach and spectacular views of the Bali sea.
We were a group of 4 who stayed at the main Villa at Villa Hari Puri with 4 bedrooms, and they also had 3 guest houses on the compound to accommodate more guests. The Villa Hari Puri overlooks the sea, and the private beach is only a stone's throw away from the Villa. Each bedroom had an ensuite outdoor bath in luxurious settings and amenities all sufficiently provided. The best living area I liked at the Villa Hari Puri is the patio which was an eclectic mix of Balinese & Colonial charm overlooking the sea, away from the food and drinks establishments, but yet within easy walking distance from the Villa. The Villa Manager, Nans was attentive to all our needs, and cravings. We even had an in-house massage arranged at the Sala (outdoor bed). The beach is clean and water is clear, beach deck chairs are provided. The owners, Eira and Simon Day are hospitable hosts and are easily contactable for the Villa bookings and all inbound and outbound arrangements. Nothing less than 6 star accommodation at a great price!
Had the privilege to stay several times at this beautiful villa. Build inspired by the Lombok traditional architecture but furnished with all modern luxury. Very nice staff that did everything to make our stay a hoary one. Location couldn't be better, right on the beach and only a short walk away from restaurants, bars and the perfect sunset view spot!!
We stayed here in October and had a lovely relaxing time. The villa is set back from the little road that goes round the island so is very private and quiet. The bar that used to host the full moon parties has been shut down and is far enough out of the busy area to make you feel like you are away from it all but at the same time it is just a short walking distance to some great restaurants. The villa is filled with lovely old Indonesian furniture and has a huge long terrace which we enjoyed relaxing on. And in the morning after breakfast it is just a short stroll through the garden to your own private beach intront of the villa . The manager was very helpful with providing information and arranged bikes for us when we asked. Would definately go back!
The property is really beautiful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were a group of 13 and we had booked the entire villa including the 3 guesthouses. Overall, the main villa is alright but needs some refurbishment as the furniture is old and the sink as well as the shower drain in the bathroom are clogged in all of the rooms. The 3 guesthouses are worst. There is barely any light in the rooms and it is pitch dark at night. The bathrooms are open air and you can see anyone in the bathroom of the neighbouring guesthouse. These guesthouses really need major renovation. I would recommend to stay at the main villa only.

My brother and I stayed here with our families, four adults and five children in total which the villa accommodates very well. There are four large double bedrooms on ground floor two of which have a third bed in them e.g. for children. In fact we found there's another large bed upstairs with nets but no aircon or a bathroom. We didn't use it but as it turns out we ended up not using the aircon in our room anyway and sleep with the doors open to the sound of the sea and the birds in the morning. In that case you do need the mozzy nets but that has its charm.
It is spacious, tastefully decorated, well run by the manager Nans and very close to the beautiful beach, facing Lombok island. The villa is close enough to the main area with all the bars and restaurants, yet far enough away to be secluded and quiet. We had one night where we heard some music in the distance but otherwise nothing.
The big veranda is great to hang out with the family, on the day bed, around the dining table or the sitting area. It has a nice garden which is kept well and has nice local-looking lanterns in it.
The inclusive services like breakfast and laundry are well done and they keep the place tidy several times a day, incl wiping after sandy kids feet in bedrooms... The fridge is well stocked as requested but prices for beer and soft drinks are hotel prices, just so you know.
What I would point out, but that's a matter of private choice, is that the villa does not have a private pool and makes no claim it does, also seeing as it is very close to the beach. For the youngest children (our youngest is 3) this could be a decider though for some families.
Villa Hari Puri really did it for us, we had a great time and were well looked after. We would certainly come again!

Stayed here with friends for 4 nights in mid February. The villa and location is beautiful, no pool but very close to the beach and close to the main shopping/restaurant area. Unfortunately we had to suffer through 2 days straight of rubbish dance music and thumping bass from the bar near by due to the dark moon party that was about to take place. On the first night it started around 6pm and finished around 1am which wasn't too bad, second day (party night) it started at 9am and went till 4am the next morning, I'm not talking a little annoying noise, it was a serious sound system going non-stop. Like trying to sleep and relax in the middle of a night club. Which really spoiled 2 days of our stay. One of the couples in our group couldn't cope and paid for another resort for the night. Luckily the music stopped for the last 2 days so you could hear the birds, and the waves and relax again. Staff were helpful (except for being vague about exactly how long the party went for) and breakfast good. I would recommend the place if you could guarantee that there was going to be no party and huge sound system in service at the bar down the road but if you couldn't guarantee that I would look elsewhere. Which is a shame because another venue shouldn't be ruining your stay.
