“Terrific Place To Stay!”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

After a long day of traveling by plane, boat, bus and now horse cart we arrived at one amazing looking hotel! First impressions were fantastic! While checking in, we got welcome drinks and not long after we were on our way to our villa! We was staying in Cempaka! We walked in through the door and WOW! In our villa (Noting all the villas are different as we were a group of almost 5 families so I practically saw all the villas) we had a plunge pool, beautiful undercover outdoor area with a TV and couches with a dining table! There was a well stocked mini bar and there was mosquito spray which really helped! We had two beautiful rooms with separate bathrooms (Shower, toilet and bath.) WiFi coverage was available in the villas but slightly slow! It was also available out on the beach where you have breakfast. Beds were comfy and pillows were as well! Only I would have about the rooms was the fact there was a gap between the door and the frames allowing mosquitoes into the room! The breakfast at the hotel was a set menu with many choices from eggs to breads!... and all with great views over the ocean at Lombok! Service was the best I have ever had at a hotel! We had one instance where the safe wasn't working and the hotel staff were straight onto it and it was fixed in a matter of minutes! We also had another instance where the lock broke on our door! And once again within minutes they had the lock replaced! All the hotel staff were very friendly and always saying hello! Whenever it was about to rain the staff came round and took the cushions off the sun chairs next to the pool and near sunset the staff would come round with mosquito coils! Terrific service! As the hotel was just a few minutes walk out of where all the restaurants and bars are it made for a more peaceful stay then the other main hotels! Why I believe if you truly want a peaceful, luxury stay then here is the spot for you!

Location is a little bit south along the main strip on Gili T which is great as its a little bit away from all the noise, but close enough walk to the action (10-15 minutes, or 5 minute bike ride or horse and cart ride).
Ko-ko-mo has a wonderful relaxed luxury feel to it, beautiful, clean, with friendly staff, and great restaurant. The restaurant is beach front with a beautiful view, and there is a sun-lounge area next to it where you can also order drinks, lunch etc and relax and soak up the sun.
The swimming at the beach here is okay, lovely clear water but very shallow reef and lots of washed up coral so snorkelling is better up north, but this was really not an issue at all as the place is so lovely, and it's only a 10-15 minute walk to a great snorkelling area.

The restaurant does room service and is also known as one of the only fine dining restaurants on the island. Great cocktails too. You would do well to combine eating here with eating at the Night Market, which has many stalls with extremely cheap local style food, fresh seafood, it's delicious.

The villa we stayed in was stunning (Villa Ganesha, it is two bedroom, fantastic open living layout with largest pool of all the villas), well equipped and furnished, just a beautiful design. From what I glimpsed at the other villas, they all have special unique touches. Villa had Mini bar, TVs in living area and bedrooms, air-con in bedrooms, ceiling fans, drinking water fountain (handy to refill water bottles).

We felt very well looked after here, the room was cleaned really thoroughly daily, with lovely little touches with little flowers placed all around. Pool was cleaned daily too. Staff not only clean in the morning but prepare the room at night, turn down the bed and turn air-con on, spay for Mosquitos etc. They are very attentive.

The trip to get to Gili T, the boat ride, it's not that long but it can be a little rough, but it's worth it when you get there. Great relaxed tropical vibe to the island. Highly recommend staying at Ko-Ko-mo! You wouldn't regret it.

Once we got there we loved KoKoMo. The fast speedboat from Bali was a real adventure for us but we finally arrived safe and sound. We took a horse cart to the resort with all our luggage (50,000 IDR). It would be a long walk with a heavy suitcase or backpack, but very easy and enjoyable without luggage.

We were in a two bedroom villa - Cedpaka and it was excellent. It has everything you need for a great beach holiday. Well stocked mini bar with beer, tonic, soda water and other soft drinks plus some chocolate, chips and plenty of mozzie spray. Staff come round every night at about 5.00pm with mozzie coils. We found the mini bar was only slightly more expensive than buying drinks at the local shops, so why bother. There are plates, cutlery and glasses in the villa. TVs in both bedroms plus the living area.

While there is free WiFi, the reception is very slow and unreliable (not the fault of KoKoMo) which means you really do switch off from the outside world. The food at KoKoMo is definitely the best on the island. We tried a number of different places but found KoKoMo to be superior in service and food quality. The only place that came close in food quality was Scallywags but it has a very limited menu (BBQ - the BBQ lobster is fantastic) and the service was not very good.

At KoKoMo the fresh bread at breakfast is magnificent as was the tapas menu at night. We also had room service and was able to adapt the menu to our tastes which was no issue for the resort. The burgers and steak sandwiches were great after a morning of snorkelling. If you love the ocean then definitely go snorkelling, the resort can arrange it for you or there are also plenty of other operators. Expect to pay about $A100 for four hours of snorkelling in your private glass bottom boat with driver and snorkel guide. You can get it cheaper but you will be sharing with others. We saw about 6 big turtles and heaps of fish. You can feed the fish so take some bread along with you. The coral is pretty much bleached out but there were some good spots.

The resort was very helpful in booking / ordering the horse cabs for us - we took a tour around the island (45 mins) which cost us 350,000IDR per cart and also went up to sunset point (50,000IDR). Both of these trips were great, fun and recommended.

This is a great place to just chill out and relax.

My wife and I recently got married at Ko-Ko-Mo on 15th June 2013. I must say the venue far exceeded our high expectations.

We we got engaged last year (2012) we knew right away where we intended on tying the knot. We contact Ko-Ko-Mo almost straight away and stated or intent to use their facilities for our wedding in 2013. We booked out the whole hotel for our guests and every single one of us was completely blown away by the standard of the rooms.

The staff at Ko-Ko-Mo along with our wedding co-ordinator Di Somerton (who was absolutely superb) really pulled all the stops to make our dream day come true. The setting was unbelievable and the food not matched anywhere else on the island. In fact, I have to say the starters and the mains were by far the best courses I have had at any wedding.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Matthew, June and the rest of the guys at Ko-Ko-Mo for being a massive part of the best day of our lives.

We will be back next year for our anniversary.

Ryan & Michelle.

4 days staying in the 3 bed villa was simply divine. The villa was spotlessly clean, the staff responded quickly to all requests - from more sunloungers, bicycle hire, masseurs to getting tonic and soda water refills. The bedrooms were all large with ensuite bathrooms.
The restaurant on the beach front was a truly beautiful setting for breakfast every morning and the smoked salmon delicious.
There is plenty to do on Gili T - snorkelling, diving or walking around the island. There is still no public transport on the island, which helps keep the island feel, despite it getting busier and more developed.

We had 4 nights in a 2 bedroom villa with our kids. The villa was great and we loved the pool. The breakfast was beautiful (we had eggs Ko-Ko-Mo style nearly everyday).
It's an easy walk to lots of bars and restaurants.
The staff were great and looked after us very well. We booked our snorkelling trip through reception and it was great.
We highly recommend Ko-Ko-Mo especially for families.

This is a real Tropical Island holiday venue! We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with our own pool which the kids loved. Fantastic service, great food and helpful staff made our stay unforgettable. The fact that there are no vehicles on the island makes it a very peaceful place and so unlike any place I have been before. The boat ride from Bali was a little hairy going over but so worth it when you get there, will certainly return in the future and highly recommend the Ko-Ko-Mo resort.
