Review of Pituq Waroeng

Pituq Waroeng
Price range: $1 - $3
Description: Welcome to Pituq Waroeng to enjoy Indonesian food with a unique twist. While respecting the original flavors of aromatic Indonesian food, we give it our own interpretation and make it vegan. You get to eat as the locals do, by sharing the food whilst mixing and matching the flavors as you wish. The freshly prepared food will arrive to your table as and when ready - So all you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy!

No doubt, one of my favourite places to eat on Gili T. The staff are friendly and know their menu well. All of their drinks were fresh and yummy and the prices at the restaurant are good. They have charity shop on the premises that sells handmade soaps, clothing and other items which I would recommend you support because the money made by this establishment goes back to the community. My family have possibly tried everything on their menu as we returned to this restaurants on five occasions during our stay. Highly recommend Star Dragon, Mangocado, sesame cracker, beefless randang, soto jamur, martabak potato and roti. We will see you again Pituq Waroeng! Makasih

We found this restaurant as the sister cafe was closed. If you are vegan, vegetarian or, like us, just enjoy good food then this is a must on the island. We shared the cauliflower taliwang, jack fruit green curry, crispy and spicy tempe, rice and both sambals. All were delicious and the service was great. Fresh juices were also tasty.
We also purchased some local handicrafts and donated to the charity for which the restaurant is run. Well worth a visit.

This place is not on the main strip where all the hotels and restaurants are, so you have to walk a bit inland to get to it. But its worth it, the decor is earthy no floor just the dirt with stepping stones. The staff were very friendly. This is a vegan place so it worked for us as we are vegetarians and wanted to eat local Indonesian food which is hard to find on Gili. We had the coconut satay, sweet spicy tempe, emping, red and white rice and Pandan cucumber juice. All were great but I found the satay too sweet and soft. They sell local coffee and tea as well as some other things that are 100% go to charity. If your on Gili T defiantly try this place!

It was thrilling to find this place, all are vegan and also eco friendly.
The taste is a bit peculiar, as Indonesian I had already certain expectations on the taste. But overall they're okay
