We stopped here last September, originally we booked to stay only a few days but we ended up staying for around 7 days as the island is one of the most beautiful places i've been to with amazing snorkling and diving an dthe people here are very friendly and helpful even offering for us to eat with them in a big italian meal. Great.

This place is very clean, confortable and the staff are very friendly. The owner is always happy and invited us to a home supper. The location is great. It's very close to the beach but away from the chaos. Highly recommended.

For our second visit to Gili during Christmas holidays we did select Trinacria Village, not only bacause we are an italo-indoensian couple but also because we met Nino and his family during our first trip to Gili and we’ve been valuing its location, place and room rate.
I must say our expectations were fully met.
Rooms were always clean and bug free (do not expect this everywhere in the Region).
Despite the Island’s central electricity generator has not been working for three days out of the five we were there, the Trinacria private one worked overtime making sure light, water supply and aircon were always available. Such generator is smartly located slightly outside the Village, hence the noise is almost non existing.
Breakfast is freshly made (it's not a buffet).
No frills at Trinacria; no pool, beach seats and forget TV, CNN, Discovery, Bloomberg, HBO as there’s no antenna. But this is something we did not miss from our stay on Gili Trawangan as the purpose of being there was to enjoy the wonderful transparante sea and relax on the beach, (complementary beach towels are indeed available). Alternatively one can join the overnight parties at one of the island’s pubs. If you cannot really leave the black-box switched off in the room on a rainy day (rare, even in wet season at Gili), there’s a wide selection of DVD movies available at the reception and a DVD reader in every room. A safety box is also available in each room.
Overall, Nino and Sri together with the competent and kind Village staff made sure all was perfect during our stay.
last but not least a great plus of Trinacria: guests could be invited for dinner like they are part of Nino’s family, for sharing spaghetti in a multinational-multilingual environment; the atmosphere could not be more open and friendly. Pasta with lenticchie on the evening of Dec 24th.. a dinner to remember!
Ciao Nino & Sri! Ritorneremo.

Trinacria Village is a quite resort, few metres from the beach, which offers beautiful accomodation for all kind of visitors. The manager Nino will receive you whit a friendly smile and his hospitality transfers the genuine italian atmosphere in this remote island of Bali sea. The service is good, whit nice and eqiupped rooms. Furthermore the cleanliness is an aspect never neglected and when you wake up tasty breakfasts will waiting for you. Every week Nino organizes gorgeous Italian dinners and he offers the opportunity to taste typical plates of the Sicilian traditon. In conclusion this small village is a corner of peace and kindness, which contributes to make your stay more pleasant.
Letizia e Michele, with love.

My husband and I spent a few days on Gili T in alternate accommodation, when we decided to look elsewhere for something a bit more comfortable. We looked at the traditional 'Lombok style' huts, beautiful to look at but really hot during the day, and very expensive. Then, we met Mr Nino at Trinacria Village, just off the beach road... and our holiday became a slice of heaven in paradise. We extended our stay by an extra week, staying a fortnight at Trinacria, it was nearly impossible to leave!

The rooms were the cleanest I had seen on my entire 3 month honeymoon, with everything you could wish for. We were so happy that we had a constant supply of hot, fresh water! This is indeed very rare to find on Gili Trawangan, and usually comes with a whopping price to match, but not here. Air con, a safe in the room, flat screen tv with DVD player, clean sheets and towels daily... all of this was provided, with a smile, by the lovely and attentive staff. Our rooms were cleaned at whatever time of day suited us, with no pressure, only a smile.

Breakfast is served 7.30am to 11.30am, perfect for us whether getting up early for a dive, or enjoying a lie-in. Eggs/toast/pancakes/fruit are prepared for you as you request, and there is any drink you could wish for. Something really worth considering is the saving you make on the breakfast... before we moved into Nino's, my husband and I were paying around 100,000 rupia per day for breakfast for 2, which we then saved, so if you take this amount off the price of the room, you see just what a bargain Trinacria Village really is.

Nino and his wife Sri are the heart and soul of this lovely oasis... and the real star of the show is their daughter, who is without a doubt the most happy and lovely child. They extend the warmth of their family to their guests, and I really felt sad to say goodbye. As mentioned in other reviews, Nino cooks spaghetti every other night, and invites all his guests, which allowed us the chance to meet people we wouldn't have met otherwise. We really enjoyed our 'pasta nights', chatting with other guests, enjoying amazing pasta (he is a talented cook!) and relaxing with abundant desserts of fresh fruit and banana fritters!

Is Trinacria worth the money? YES! For what you get, it is a steal. We spoke to many people at our dive shop, most of whom are on the island long term, and they couldn't believe how lucky we were to find Trinacria.

Is it clean, with all mod cons and amenities you need? YES! Heaven to have a hot shower after diving, and to have electricity 24 hours (again, a real rarity on the island).

Would I go back? YES! I simply cannot recommend this place enough, and it is really down to the warm welcome we had from Nino and Sri. They will make your holiday in paradise even more perfect, and you will be glad you went there. Tell them we said hello!

Kate & Ado
