We have just returned from a holiday at the Miami Es Cana we are are family of four, children aged 9 and 5. The hotel is an excellent choice for families with plenty to do including three pools ( the largest is very deep not suitable for non-swimmers), a playground, football pitch, internet access , games room and kids club.
The food was excellent with plenty of choice , different every day and always nice and hot.. We chose the allinclusive option although I am not too keen on having my wine in a plastic cup so ask for a glass if you are in the bar!
The rooms were clean but not very spacious for a family of four, they would be fine for a couple as the storage space was limited and the sat tv was mainly German and spanish, sky news and cbeebies for the brits.
Overall the hotel is good fun for a family holiday and the location is perfect right next to the beach at Es Cana and five minutes from the town centre. Es Cana itself is a family orientated resort , good value for money (cheapest on the island apparently) but still maintains its charm. Ideal choice for a family holiday in the sun.

We booked this holiday at short notice and was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews. But once arrived I instantly had peace of mind as I found the staff friendly and helpful.Yes,of course there may be some staff around whom may not smile sometimes as other reviews may state but everyone is human and this happens in all workplaces. The rooms were adequate with twin double beds and spacious enough for all the time spent in them.We had two children under five who loved the swimming pool and the evening entertainment as the kids are well cared for.We were all inclusive and found the food and service fantastic. There was only one evening it wasn't great but there was still something that everyone could choose from to eat.I could go on and on but all I'd like to say is that we had a week in this hotel and would most definitly return. We've previously stayed in the Seaview Country Club in Port Des Torrent and would put it on a even par for service etc but better for food!!

Would highly recommend this hotel ,we stayed for a week A 1 in july,2kids 12 ,10.We are going back next year, exellent resort, would reccommend a visit to charlies bar, fake that very good.only gripe is the slow service at the poolside bar, often three staff only 1 serving they also need to manage a smile and remember that if it wasnt for us holidaymakers they wouldnt have a job that aside cant wait to go back next year.

all inclusive - dont bother - breakfast was very good but other meals not up to much. room for 4 very small - double bed, a strange bed settee and a bed that pulled out from underneath - no room for 4 peoples clothes !! cleaners do not understand the do not disturb sign so dont expect a lie in - 2 plugs in the room - not good when 3 females trying to get ready to go out - dryers, straightners etc. if you like a poolside holiday dont bother unless you are prepared to get up at 6.30 to reserve your bed - we managed to get a sunbed at 7 oc in the evening !! hotel on beach - would be fab if the sea was clean - loads of seaweed. resort very nice very safe and you can catch the boat (beware though as the captain doesnt hang around for latecomers so be on time or you could find yourself stranded!) to different parts of the island and the little train. Hippie market very busy and very hot and nothing there that we hadnt seen before in the gift shops. we find the spainish people to be very rude though and seem to get served first even though you have been waiting before them ! this is our first (and last) time at all inclusive - breakfast is 7.15 til 10.15 lunch is 12.30 til 3.15 evening meal is 7.15 to 9.15. we didnt make the evening meal as we were making the most of the pool in the evening !!) we also noticed a lot of the spanish/german/italian guests were having picnic boxes made up for their lunch if they were spending the day on the beach - we werent told about this - may be they were though ? if you go to ibiza town change your money before you go and we wasted nearly an hour trying to find somewhere to exchange money (and failed miserably) we ended drawing more out of the cash point (and there isnt many of those either!) disappointing holiday which cost us about £2,500 for a week (not including spending money) if you are prepared to do the all inclusive and not move from the hotel for 7 days its probably a good deal - if you like to get out and about you are wasting your money.

location brilliant, right on the beach, swimming pools and facilities great, shame about the rudeness and bad attitude of the bar staff, in particular Antonio. We done the all inclusive option which cost us nearly 3K, which the bar staff need to remember that we have paid for our drinks, they gave us the impression that we were getting it for nothing! Totally begrudged!

Have just came back from a weeks holiday a couple of days ago. This hotel is in a great spot with good views if you get a room with a sea-view which, unfortunately we did not receive but didnt matter too much. To be able to walk onto the beach from the hotel was great. Good sized but very deep pool with two smaller shallower pools for little ones which was good as big pool was less busy. Hotel clean and spacious with free use of washing machines, tumble dryers and iron. Rooms were of good size and looked like they all had balcony but our air-con was rubbish so room was very hot until sun went down and that was with keeping the activation key in slot all the time. This was first and last time I would do all inclusive as food and drinks were below average and not worth the extra money spent and quality of food here has put us off. Our only saving grace was that for a small resort there were a few bars for good food and drinks at not too bad a price and local staff friendly. Check out Apaches(I think) where you can get 2 pints of local beer for 2euros and buy one get one free cocktails. Also Charlies good for a bit of entertainment. Would go back to Hotel Miami but do self-catering and would definately go back to this resort, as well connected with other resorts by bus or boat and even a wee train at night for sight-seeing.My biggest disappointment was the food as few places cater for tourists who don't want to eat British food on holiday but didn't spoil our break. One of the best bits was a trip to Formentara as the beaches were outstanding, you would think you were in the Carribean. We would have loved to explore more but not enough time even though we did manage Ibiza Town and Saint Eulalia which were both nice.
