The Ereso Hotel was the perfect place for a first time couple holiday and situated near some stunning beaches. The hotel staff were incredibily helpful and friendly. The food in the hotel was lovely with a wide variety avaliable every night. There were two themed nights in the week we were there, indian and mexican, which broke the week up nicely. Obviously not traditional spanish themes however there was still spanish food avaliable these nights. The hotel has lots of small shops and lovely (quiet) bars on the doorstep and the beach is only a five minute walk from the hotel. Overall we had a brilliant stay at the Ereso hotel and we would definitley return.

We have just returned from a last minute week away at the Ereso. We are of a family of 4 with kids aged 9 and 7. We booked the Ereso mainly because the reviews were all good. I agree with most that has already been said about this hotel. It is very well run with the management team having been in place for many years, which is always a good sign. Food is good, hot and plenty of it. There was something for everyone: from bland fried chips pizza, burgers to lovely spanish salads, mediterranean fruit/veg, fish etc. Its all served buffet style, which wasn't really conjusive to relaxing meal times as the place was so packed. However, despite it being so busy, queues were rare and speedily dealt with. When dishes were finished the staff replaced them quickly. One thing we didn't like was that you were not allowed to take drink in or out of the dining room, even if you had bought it from elswhere in the hotel. I suppose this is to stop you from buying cheaper drinks elswhere and taking them in with you. However, there was a great fuss made by the waitresses when they spotted my son's fresh orange juice which we had bought from the pool bar as the dining room only sold fizzy drinks for kids. Small point, but was a bit annoying as we felt we (read husband!) had spent alot of money at the pool bar on drinks!
We wanted a quiet room and were given one overlooking a roof top with pipes. The hotel have done their best to make it look nice and put pots of cacti there etc. I was initially disappointed that we didn't have a pool view, but when the evening entertainment started that night was very glad. I would disagree with the previous review that pool side rooms are quiet. The entertainment goes on until midnight ish so there is often noise until 1pm ish from this area. If thats not your bag, get a room with no view; for us it was worth the compromise. The rest of the rooms overlook the road which leads down to the beach. I can't comment whether these were noisy or not.
I thought the evening entertainment was fair. The kids loved the mini disco, and the shows that I saw after this were fair/good. I didn't think much to the chap who is in charge of the entertainment (dare I say creepy?!), although the 2 girls are nice and work hard.
Serious lack of sunbeds, mainly due to selfish people getting up at the crack of dawn to reserve them, and then not appearing to use them until after lunch. The pool area although pleasant was too full for us until 4pm ish, so we went to the beach until this time.
All in all, a nice hotel in a quiet resort.

Just returned from a week at the Ereso hotel and what a surprise. For a 3* this hotel is exceptionally good. We found all areas of the hotel very clean and well presented. The food was extremely good for 3* - hot, very varied, well presented and enjoyable.

The reception staff were extremely helpful and all very friendly and willing to help with any problem you might have.

We were a little disappointed when we arrived to find that we were not overlooking the swimming pool but tucked away at the end of the corridor of the back (wing) section in Room 234. However, this proved to be a godsend in the end as it was so quiet and peaceful, both during day and at night and having the sun full blast during the day, the towels/beachwear dried extremely quickly.

Some previous reports mentioned that there was just a paddle fan in the room but I have got the impression that air conditioning has now been installed throughout as we had both and when both was on, the room was like a morgue - so you can have it has cold as you like. There are obviously no kettles in the rooms or hairdriers, so you need to bring your own. I was told by someone that you can hire a fridge for €3 a day. The safe is also very handy and coss €2 a day with a €10 refundable deposit. No beach towels are provided but if you forget any there are plenty of shops selling them in the area. In fact, the local shops are very handy for any alcohol, cigarettes or anything else you require.

There are two swimming pools and we found that a large number of people were reserving towels on sunbeds and not returning to them until even the afternoon, meaning that there weren't enough sunbeds to go around. However, the swimming pool areas were clean and hosed down every day. I even saw somebody testing the swimming pool water a couple of times whilst I was there. The beach at Es Cana was quite dirty whilst we were there. However, if you are prepared to walk 10 minutes in the other direction to Cala Nova Beach, you will find it quite the opposite and the water was crystal clear and wonderful to swim in.

The evening entertainment varied from night to night - some nights better than others but we found the drinks in the hotel much cheaper than outside, i.e. a cocktail was €3.80 at the hotel and outside €6.

Excursions are cheaper outside the hotel. We found two little offices near the harbour area selling everything much cheaper.

The hippy market at Es Cana takes place on a Wednesday but we were thankful to take the advice given to us by someone else and got there for 10am as the stalls were finishing set up and therefore had gone around and out of the place by 10.45am when hundreds were arriving.

The duty free shop at the airport was still open when we arrived at 2am for our 4am flight, so you can buy stuff at the airport.

A great holiday and a fantastic 3* hotel.

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Es Cana. The hotel staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. All areas are exceptionally clean. The two pools are lovely and have life-guards. You cannot have inflatables at all in the pool. There could be more sun-beds, you do have to get up early! The buffet meals are varied and well presented. Ideal for kids of all ages. The hotel is perfectly situated - close enough to everything to be able to stroll everywhere but far enough away from the main bars to avoid any noise. The best rooms are obviously overlooking the pool and preferably away from the lifts - quieter at night. The hotel evening entertainment is extremely cheesy! The current animation team is fairly useless. The Chap Kevin in charge quite honestly does not even like children in my opnion! The female assistants are extremely nice and hardworking though. There is internet connection for general use but its extremely slow! The whole resort is lovely. The hippie market is a 'must do' and a boat trip to at least Santa Eularia if not Carla Longa. Ibiza town is another 'must do' both at night and during the day - the castle is lovely. Santa Eularia is more chic than Es Cana and have a large marina and clean beach. The little land train is enjoyable but probably would be boring for children. I would recommend Grannys Bar and Charlies for teenagers in Es Cana and Popeyes for adults.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Ereso (4 adults, 2 teenagers and a 1 year old) and had a great time. The hotel has recently been refurbished and was very clean. The staff were great and friendly, in fact everyone we met in the resort was freindly and helpful. The entertainment was not fanatastic, avoid the magic show !! but as we were out and about every evening this did not bother us too much. The food was quite good (we were full board), we normally end up eating out a few times per week, but this year only went out for a meal once. The doors to the pool area do not open until 730 so you do not have to be up at the crack of crow poo to get a sunbed. We will be booking to go back next year.

The Ereso is an exceptional hotel!
We stayed for 2 weeks earlier this month and the hotel was spotless throughout! The rooms were spacious, very clean and quiet. My husband and I have 2 small children and we all thought the food (and the choice) in the restaurant was superb! It was much better than could be found in most of the independant restaurants in the resort of Es Cana.
The staff were very friendly, as were the other guests! The management were keen to make sure their guests were happy and we enjoyed a really superb, good value for money, holiday! I would definately recommend the hotel to other families. It seemed to me that a lot of the guests return here time and time again.
The childrens club was a bit of a let down though, as Miriam, the animation lady had quite broken English. She was trying hard but the children failed to understand here and it became a chore even trying! Thankfully my girls only went twice out of the fortnight we were there! Also the mini-disco on an evening was poor too.
If the mini club is my only complaint then I see this as being a fab holiday! Although the wind, rain and thunderstorms weren't great either! Book the Ereso now!

The hotel was absolutely fantastic. All the staff were great. Everybody was polite and went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible. The whole hotel was spotless and the food varied and well presented.

The entertainment was to a very high standard, with events being layed on throughout the day for adults and children. Miriam and James were funny and gave us a great time.

There is absolutely nothing bad that I can say about this hotel. If you want a great holiday, in a fantastic location then look no further.
