Waited about 2hrs for our room after arriving about 11-30am,got our wristbands so left luggage in luggage room and went for a drink.
Hotel is spotless and staff very friendly ,would be better situated elsewhere as there is absolutely nothing to do and see in es canar .
Dining room too cramped, one night the queue for food was like a snake and like others have said, nothing wrong with the food.No need to queue for sun beds as their is plenty to go round
Entertainment team(had no contact with them all wk,just walked straight past us)games, what I saw of them, very boring, absolutely no atmosphere at all,not like other hotels I have stayed at.didn't play games as I said animation team never spoke to us.kids disco same thing and songs repeated every night, the entertainers enjoyed more than anyone else.evening entertaining quite boring so we would leave and go for a walk down the beach and have a drink in Charlie's or Popeyes.
The hotel in my opinion is for families with young kids as they where well looked after.

Room Tip: Top floor over the pool, you can see everything

We paid £1608 for 2wks with Thomsons.
After a 30min coach ride we were in our room 5mins later. The apartment was small but OK for us. It was properly prepared. The facilities were a decent drying line on the balcony with 2 standard plastic chairs and table (no light outside), an excellent full size blackout curtain, plenty of drawer and hanging space for clothes, a safe (pay extra), ceiling fan, A/C, plenty of lights, The bathroom had a medium size bath and a few freebies but no hair dryer. The 6 towels were of a really good quality and size all looked nearly new. The whole room looked as if it had been refurbished recently and was in excellent condition.
We were cleaned every day and the towels changed as well, the bed linen twice a week.
The hotel is quite central and is about 400mtrs from the small harbour and beach. It is surrounded by cafes, small supermarkets. The bus station is only 200mtrs away and from here a regular stream of buses go all over the island. There are several ATMs within easy walking distance.
Eating out is fairly cheap with breakfast costing from 2E to 5E. Lunch 10E. A large beer costs 3E.
Es Cana is clean and has no beggars or other irritating pests.
The sand at the beach is cleaned most days but is heavily used and has a number of water activities available at both ends. The harbour has regular ferries and trips going from it.
We went on the glass bottom boat costing 9E each and the trip lasted 50mins. Nothing much to see but it was a relaxing trip. Also we went on the train into the country which costs 15E each and lasted 3hrs. Again it was not exciting but you went to some out of the way places and again enjoyed the ride.
We also went on a jeep trip, booked at the hotel, for the whole day costing 88E each and included a huge lunch at a restaurant. It was only part off road and toured the north of the island. Well recommended.
When we arrived at the hotel late august most of the guests were of course families but in September it changed to mainly mature couples. Almost all were British. In both cases everyone was very well behaved with no boorish behaviour of any kind. Although there was no dress code everyone seemed to make an effort in the evening to look smart with the men wearing a decent shirt/t shirt and long trousers and many of the ladies wearing long evening dresses. There were a number of handicapped people who were with minders and so well looked after and access to most of the hotel for them was good. As I was having mobility problems not long ago I check this out now. The Animation team were great at occupying the kids time and never did we see any bad behaviour from any children.
The sun bed situation is that many people do queue up early for them but I never failed to get a bed at any time.
There are no mossies or wasps and only a few flies.
People take their own rubbish to the waste bins around the pool.
Help yourself to soft drinks and hot drinks at the poolside bar.
The wine and beer will never win any prizes but its cold and served in big plastic cups. I like it this way as broken glass on the poolside is a nightmare to clean up properly. The strength of the spirits is, as normal nowadays, of a reduced alcohol standard but this does mean that there was no drunkardness and if you wanted a strong drink just order a neat spirit with your drink and top it up.
The food, entertainment and staff were better than most 4* hotels that we have been to. The staff eat from the dinning room which says a lot for the preparation of the food. The general manager frequently walks around the hotel and is easily talked to.
So then all is faultless! certainly not!.
The rooms suffer from noise all from next door inhabitants and the outer facing rooms from 24hour road noise as they face the main road into Es Cana. The ones on the other side face the pools and entertainment areas and from 10.30 to midnight have the benefit of "La Bomba" etc nonstop ( hope you like ABBA and Bob Marley). The rooms facing inwards only have a view of other apartments.
The Wi-Fi for which I paid 15E for a week was slower than my old dial up so do not buy unless my complaint has been acted upon.
Overall this hotel makes a great effort to ensure that you enjoy your stay and I would certainly return.

At first myself and my boyfriend (aged 22&23) were a bit apprehensive about arriving at this hotel. We were expecting it to be for older couples and families but were pleasantly suprised that there were plenty of activities for us both to take part in throughout the day. The entertainment team introduced themselves the first night and weren't pushy to get you involved if you didn't want to. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly giving advice on travel and buses.
The rooms were basic but had what you needed. Air con was great, and room cleaned as often as needed. Side street view could be a bit noisy but didn't stop you sleeping.
The food! I was a bit nervous as I can be fussy but there was a great choice everyday, all tasty and fresh. Mexican night was delicious..(not too keen on tequila though! Ha) tables cleared quickly and plenty of seating.
The evening entertainment wasn't quite to our taste but for families it would be great. We took advantage of all inclusive bar then went for a walk round es canar. Lots of shops and restaurants. Jacaranda lounge is a great place for the younger people good
Music, shisha pipes and cocktails. Can be pricey but worth it! (Another great cocktail place is atzaro beach bar at cala nova beach. Expensive but worth it)
No problems getting a sunbed at all don't know what all the fuss is about! All in all a great hotel!

Have just returned from an 11 night stay at the Ereso and wished it was longer. Went with my Wife and 2 sons age 18 & 22. The Hotel was excellent reception staff where great the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. was surprised to see the queuing for the sunbeds doors didn't open till 8.30 in the morning but always managed to get one, Food was plenty and great choices I have to say the best part of our holiday was the entertainment team always working always friendly through out the day even when they were on their break talking to everyone. Short walk to bars and beach. Very sad to leave and would most definitely go back again,

Just returned from a 12 night all inclusive holiday in Ereso, Es Canar with my parents (60s) daughter and Partner (20s) two teenage sons (14 & 17) and my husband. We really liked the resort of Es Canar, nice and quiet with easy access to beaches, buses, boats, bars, restaurants and shops.
Hotel is nice and clean with very friendly helpful staff especially Mari Carmen who just couldn't do enough for us. We were in a large group and sadly not all rooms together, but room 138 had standard camp type beds yet a surprisingly big bathroom but no view whatsoever, as it was overlooking over the a roof terrace, this upset me at first but was actually glad of the peace at night as my parents had room 135 overlooking the front road, as noise was a nuisance for them as was the tiny bathroom as they both had mobility issues. All rooms with air con and ceiling fans which was ace, tv 2 channels but I don't pay to go abroad to sit in the room. Our cleaner Carmen was fantastic, always happy and helpful. A star!
The animation team are smashing with kids, especially Yves and Florian who try to keep everyone happy from toddlers, teens and pensioners! Not too keen on Chicken Jacob, who we nicknamed Borat!! he is far too sleazy and more focused on dating as many English girls as possible.
It rained with thunderstorms for 4 days when we arrived and the foyer/bar was far too crammed and almost unbearable in the evenings. I would suggest an alternative to the mini club maybe in salon bar, even just music or internet console access as not all teenagers enjoyed the same routine songs etc that is aimed at pleasing younger children, The daily/nightly songs and dances have stuck in our heads and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening shows. The all inc drinks were okay, however people in our group complained about paint stripper spirits not being acceptable. I would suggest though that audience participation performances have some kind of order or people wanting to join in sit at front or something as during the drag artists show one of the artists was almost punched after putting his skirt over a mans head in the audience. Another man complained about being soaked and wanted the hotel to pay for his dry cleaning and watch repairs. The bar staff are good, very clean and tidy, although Patrick in particular was very short and didn't seem to have any time for people who didn't speak Spanish, Eva, however was lovely and always had a smile on her face and a kind word. The restaurant area is very clean and tidy. Slightly crammed, but nothing that rearranging the tables wont fix. Adolfo runs a tight ship and made us feel rushed especially during the evening meals, the staff tended to hover around you and the second your finished the plate etc has gone especially when under Adolfo's watch. The food selection was quite good, with themed evenings on Tues - Mexican Night, Weds - BBQs, Thurs - Gala and Fri - Chinese evening. Sadly however the lunchtime menus of soup, salad or pork was samey. This wasn't an issue for us as we ate out most days and highly recommend Mr Fish which is 5 mins walk from the hotel on the Es Canar beach. The pools at the hotel were good, sunbed layout bit crammed and sunworshippers rushing to secure loungers from early doors but all jetwashed every morning which is fab! The bottom pool had insects floating most afternoons possibly from the trees overhanging, but as I have teens we spent most pool time in upper pool by the sun terrace which was spotless and deeper offering water polo etc..
The local beaches are nice and we were surprised by a spot on Cala Nova full of nudists, this was hilarious to my teenage sons, but they loved the beach as it was larger than the tiny still waters of Es Canar beach with more choppy waves to play in. Would also recommend the excursions from the port on the mini trains, and the glass bottom boat. Don't miss Charlies bar for a great night out with varied entertainment and the lovely Jacaranda Lounge by the sea for a chilled out early evening drink, absolutely lovely place so chilled and relaxing!

I would recommend this hotel as we all had a lovely relaxing chilled out holiday here.
Thank you Hotel Ereso!

Recently returned from a 2 week holiday with my wife, daughter, her partner and my son. Only disappointing aspect about the holiday was the poor weather during the second week. The hotel was very good in all areas. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and was operated by friendly and professional staff. The food was extremely good. Plenty of choice and cooked to perfection. The food was fitting for a 4 to 5 star hotel! The Animation team delivered an entertaining, varied and enjoyable daytime program of sports and games. The grounds were very spacious and clean. There is a large spacious sun terrace area above the second pool, which was a haven for peace and tranquility. The hotel implemented a very fair rule that sunbeds can only be claimed from 9 a.m. by keeping the external doors locked. It was very amusing seeing all us Brits queing up impatiently to claim the same spot for the duration of the holiday. We went down after 9 a.m. on many mornings and never had a problem in getting a sun bed. It was great to have evening drinks in glasses instead of plastic cups. As a rule, I do not go back to the same hotel as I like stay in different locations, however I would definitely like to return back to the Ereso one day.
