azuLine Hotel Coral Beach
Ranked #9 of 13 Hotels in Es Canar
Reviewed August 3, 2013

The main negative point is that at 9am the door to the pool opens, people have already been waiting for upto an hour for this event to happen, When it does its like a rat race, Reseving beds for other family members who wont even surface til mid afternoon! 1 guy through towells down on 6 beds, next to the 2 i had, he disappeared and returned a couple hours later by himself, then at about 3pm the rest of the brady bunch appeard! So if your like me and cant be bothered setting an alarm, waiting around for a door to open and then running/sprinting to the pool area then id avoid this hotel
We spent most days on the beach where there is no shortage of bedsa 5 minute walk, when we did return there was occasionally a bed or 2 spare if not there is plenty of garden chairs and tables to be had, only problem was they were all in the sun, only 3 parasols were coving the seating area this need to be rectified there should be a parasol per table
The food was generally ok, with the exception of breakfast, we made a mistake one morning by going down at 9;30am, what a nightmare people rushing about as theyll stop putting food out at 10, one morning there was not a clean table to be had, If you go here then make sure you go before 9 as its a bit more relaxed, The food on a morning was not great but edible
Lunch was fine, bit of a queue at 1pm on opening but we never had any problems with luch and always had a decent chioce of fish/meat/pasta/salad/veg
Dinner was also quite good, busy after 8pm so again id avise to head down about 7;20 this gives time for the hungry guests to make there way down to the deserts section and avoids the peak time of 8-9pm, plenty chioce, we were starting to get a bit fed up by the second week
Snack bar is good for kids, but everything is fryed on the same hot pan even toasties
The best bit about the free snacks was the ice creams
Drinks if all inclusive were fine but im not keen on drinking beer out of plastic glasses and coffee out of polysterene cups. All inclusive drink ends at 11pm and they will then charge

Room Tip: get a pool view room, we had a sea view but cant see much due to other buildings and directly below...

Party of 4 in 2 rooms, 2 in 50s & 60s, other 2 late teens, 4th floor overlooking the pool area, went room only & included free breakfast, which we used & was very good quality, cleanliness very good, service good, free Air Con. very good, pool very good but sun beds quickly get taken in the morning, the pool area is not allowed until 9am because access doors are locked through bar entrance, once opened, make sure you are there with your towels for the cushioned ones on the far side. the food overall looked very good for the All Inclusive guests, and if you are stopping for the evening entertainment, or drinking regular by the pool, then the option is better value because the pint of beer will cost you 3 Euros, it can be cheaper outside where the Apache bar does the pint for 1.50 Euros.
We were regularly involved with the animation adult activities, 4 times a day, which were quite good, they seem to involve adults more than the children, who only have just 1 age group, so the place did not seem overrun with them.
Dined out every evening, 3 course meal, about 10 euros, but most will charge 3 euros for the pint, went back for evening entertainment, which is passable if you get involved, would consider going back All Inclusive next time, and overall things very good, use local bus service for transport, regular and cheap.
I did a review a few months earlier at this resort, different hotel, and have to say that I prefer this hotel to the last 1, because you feel more involved and entertained with all the other guests, join in and have some fun !

Room Tip: Pool view rooms looked better, more sun on the veranda, and rear rooms overlook the road, but might...

We have just returned from 1 weeks all incl holiday...great time had.
Hotel:
Clean, well maintained, staff friendly, rooms cleaned daily, pool area cleaned regularly.Kids shallow pool and main pool, nice temp and clean. The pool area in enclosed so there is no sunbed hogging by putting towels on them the night before...the doors to the pool area open at 9am...Very amusing to watch everyone legging it out to bagsy their favourite sun bed!! There is an area with table/chairs/brollies also, we used these as our daughter is 5yrs old and we we in/out of the pool constantly.
Location:
Great location, 5 min walk to es cana beach and slightly longer to Cala nova beach, both lovely sandy kid safe beaches.
Short walk to the centre where there are numerous shops, bars, restaurants... Jacarunda bar was lovely..great music and also a pool u can use.
Things to do:
There is a small fun fair area for kids near the centre.
Boat trips are available from near the small marina...we went on the glass bottom boat...an hours trip along the coast and also caught the ferry to Ibiza town, stopping off on the way back at Cala longa beach ( you can hop on/off numerous times, several other places to stop off at).
Entertainment:
Staff were really good, getting adults and kids involved in games/entertainment...darts, shooting, ping pong etc. My daughter loved the kids mini disco every night and met many friends. The area is fully enclosed so it feels safe for them to run around and play with minimum supervision. Some of the evening entertainment was a bit iffy..but Robbie Williams is unlikely to turn up realistically!!(although chico made an appearance in one of the local bars!!
food:
Copious amounts of food always available, and if you didn't quite eat enough there is always the bar snacks and ice creams!! plenty of choice, great salad selection and enough for kids...pasta, beans etc!!

All in all a very good holiday!! The read so n I have ,marked down the sleep is because our ROM overlooked the pol and the entertainment was very noisey....even tho it only went on until 11pm...if u have young kids and need early nights ask for a room at the front of the hotel, not overlooking the pool

My first time in ibiza , Had an amazing holiday @coral beach hotel, Es Cana , pool area was lovely , food was lovely, staff great fun, entertainment was better than expected , rooms were lovely and cleaned every day, had a small issue with the aircon , but was dealt with without delay, the all inclusive drink were of good quality an not watered down . It a prime location a short stroll to the beach, an the shops, bars etc .the pool are was not accessible until. 9 am which stopped the early morning sun lounger monster , but there was a queue at 9 to grab one . Had some of the best nights @ Charlie's bar , just by the boats , fab guys , and such a fun place to be, took the ferry down to Santa eulalia €6 each way , which is larger than es cana , very cosmopolitan place to be and very pretty, es Cana it's self is not a huge place but plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from , wouldn't hesitate to return to coral beach or Es Cana , got taxi to San Antonio €80 return , but between four was fine . the sunset was to die for , you can take the bus , but we shoulda gone to the bus station an checked times but an relied on hotel staff, which turned out costly. But never the less worth it, the buses are easy and very cheap , so do check them out . Fabulous holiday !

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view , can't go wrong !

Just returned from a weeks holiday and had a great time, The hotel was clean and staff always very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated 2 minutes walk to the beach. The buffet food is slightly different but choice was good and could always find something to eat even for our fussy 10 year old. The entertainment staff were outstanding and wonderful with the children nothing was to much trouble and always had a smile on there faces. We would recommend this hotel for families. The only down side was the race for the sun beds in the morning not helped by people taking sun beds and not using them till late in the afternoon.

Stayed from the 7th to the 18th July my partner is disabled our daughter is 12 travelled with jet two who booked a room with a wet room shower for my partner. Check in was nice and smooth reception staff very friendly and helpful when we asked questions i.e. where things were etc. and was there a ramp as my partner is in a wheelchair. Room on the second floor lifts were fine room was spot on large and a large balcony with a wet room toilet floor my partners face lit up. Hotel lay out was good with plenty of room restaurant was large food was good that said my daughter was no overly impressed but she loved the pool bar snacks and ate there most meals The themed nights in the restaurant were good liked the Mexican night best. Like Janice M has said previously the entertainment team work very hard but I thought the other guests made the holiday most enjoyable all nationalities joined in the day time games and if required the night time entertainment include myself in that. Every one got on great and spoke to each other Andrea encouraged my daughter to join in and by doing this she mixed well with other kids and met some great new friends. The hotel was nice and clean there was always plenty of hot water in the bathroom. the resort of Es Canar is not to busy just enough shops pubs and restaurant's to go round and not that far from the hotel there 2 great firework displays when we stayed fantastic.
All in all we all had great time and like Janice her daughter and her pool shark husband!! we are thinking of going back next year thanks Coral beach for a great holiday.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the main entrance nice and quiet.

Just back from Coral Beach, we has a lovely holiday here, the hotel is in a good spot near to the beach. Was a little worried before we went due to various reports on this website, but wished I hadn't worried because it was really nice and clean, food was quite varied from breakfast to evening meals, always something to eat plus various snacks during the day available from pool snack bar. We traveled with 2 young children and it was good for them too, the Mini Disco was great for them, the girls work very hard especially Andrea, she was great and always remembered the children's names. We enjoyed our stay at Coral Beach and would recommend it to anyone. We stayed in room 342 which was a corner room with 2 balconies!! one overlooked the pool and the other up towards the main strip.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms quieter after about 11.30pm.
