Just returned from two weeks at the CGB. Jose Mourinho may be the special one at Chelsea but Dimitries-Dina-Anastasia and Spiros are the special ones on the beautiful island of Corfu. On arrival we were greeted like a member of the family all hugs and kisses and a rapturous 'I love you' from Dimitries. From the moment we arrived until we left we, like all the other guests were treated like Royalty. At breakfast we were greeted with a kiss and warm smile from Dina, the breakfast was continental but there was an option to buy a cooked alternative. We normally eat out at various restaurants for our evening meal but after sampling the first meal at CGB we were hooked and only ate out three or four nights . The pool and garden areas were immaculate and the view of the beach - stunning, the spa was wonderful and very refreshing, as were the poolside snacks. The hotel and rooms were immaculate, and the staff like the family were always cheerful and friendly, even Hector and Huey the hotel dogs made you feel welcome. Agios Georgios is a beautiful quiet resort with a small number of restaurants in close proximity, and if you like walking - a few further afield. The beach was clean with plenty of sunbeds but the only downside was the pebbles as you walked into the sea, which we were told was a result of a bad winter, so if you didn't have swimming shoes entering the sea was most uncomfortable, but with the hotel pool overlooking the beach there was no need to venture on to the beach. This was a truly memorable holiday and proves that the owners and staff can make or break a holiday and Dimitries and family certainly made it for us. Will we return? Yes we will, but feel that wherever we go in the future nothing will compare with CGB. Jill & Bob - Aberdare, South Wales.
