“Good resort...would recommend.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

Stayed at this hotel for one week in May 2013. We were a group aged between 24 and 65 and we all enjoyed our stay, although I would not recommend this for a group of twenty somethings as there is little to do in the nearby town. The location is good as directly on a pleasant beach. We found the all inclusive to be of a good standard, no real complaints. Our accommodation was very good....we were up at the beach end ....the rooms were of a very good standard. Entertainment was not good but this wasn't an important element of the holiday for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families and the more mature traveller, but not necessarily for the young hip and happening people!

As this was our first all-inclusive holiday we did not know what to expect,i could not fault this hotel on anything. The staff were all helpful, food was excellent, good choices for all tastes, rooms were spotless. The complex is a bit out the way of anything, just a small street of mostly supermarkets and taverns for drinks and food but that is about it.The only down side of the hotel was there was no cash machines (not that you needed to spend any money),but there was one about a 15min walk up the road. This hotel was right on the beach which we went to everyday,6euro for your sunloungers and parasol. All in all had a GREAT holiday. Will be back for 10 days next year.

Room Tip: Think all rooms would be ok.

We have just returned from two weeks at the Aquis Sandy Beach Resort on Corfu. From the moment we arrived, greeted by Konstantina with a refreshing glass of Orange Juice, to the time we left we could find no fault with either the accommodation or food.
This was our first time at an "all inclusive" resort and we were pleasantly surprised at how civilised it all was! Despite there being many families with young children there appeared to be very little noise and somehow the resort managed to confine the sound from loudspeakers to the specific area for which it was intended. Once you had travelled a short distance from either the Activities Pool or the Auditorium the sound seemed to disappear and peace and quiet reigned.
The room was large and airy and the bathroom had one of the best hairdryers I have used in any hotel I have stayed in. The fridge was an added bonus and there was a safety deposit box in the room (3 Euros per day).
Complimentary Beach towels were available and changed every three days with someone on duty to undertake the change daily between 10am and 6pm. There were three swimming pools to choose from with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. If you wanted to be on the beach which was just outside the gate you had a choice of the sun loungers and parasols (6 Euros for two beds and a parasol), or just a short walk up the beach you could have yards of deserted sand and shallow seas ideal for swimming.
The food was excellent with a vast range of dishes available at each meal time. There was also afternoon tea served between 4pm and 6pm for those who could manage to fit in another meal!!
Guest services were very efficient and approachable. Particular thanks are due to Konstantina who provided local knowledge on walks in the area and places to visit nearby if you had hired a car - we used Cosmos Car Hire in the village, a short walk from the hotel which, whilst not the cheapest, included no excess car insurance at no extra cost and arrange of offers for those wishing to hire for more that just one day.
The problem we encountered with the Air Con in our room was quickly sorted (less that half a day).
We were last on Corfu in 1975 when the resort at Agios Georgios did not exist and there was just miles of deserted sandy beach - hopefully it will not be as long before we return.

Room Tip: Try block 14 on the top floor, it is very handy for the beach, pool and Restaurant but also very qui...

Myself and my husband stayed here for 11nights june 2013, we had a great relaxing stay. plus side . . . . FOOD, so much choice, freshly cooked, from scrambled egg on toast for breakie to selection of meats, tasty potatoes and ample veg for dinner, I defy anyone to say they couldn't find anything to eat, all tastes catered for. pools, bars, staff all excellent, great pool and slides for kids, help yourself ice cream all day!
only real fault was check in, you have to duplicate all your details on paper, takes far to long, need to be more efficient, not a lot going on outside hotel, few bars and restaurants, hats off to dawn . . first choice rep and the restaurant manager
in a nut shell . . . great food, great sleeps, great weather,no fighting for sunloungers!!!

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at the Aquis Sandy Beach Resort, Corfu. Everything was perfect for us. The accommodation, food, facilities, staff were faultless, I only wish we had booked 2 weeks and not 1 as we certainly would have been happy to stay longer.

We certainly would have no hesitation in visiting again.

Thank you to all the staff for making our stay perfect.

Room Tip: I would recommend you book a pool view.

We had a 9 nights holiday at Sandy beach resort. We booked a two bedroom apartment. The room was very dated and worn. The bathroom definitely needs an update. Old pipes and previous fittings are still visible along with residue and rust. On our day of arrival we didn't have hot water till late evening. Although this problem was finally fixed after numerous calls to reception and visits by a plumber the hot water supply became a problem. We were advised to avoid showering between 5 to 7pm. Clearly an archaic boiler system supplied the whole block. The bed sheet was too small to cover the entire bed leading to waking up on the mattress used by numerous previous visitors.

The food was very basic and limited. One chioce of poached white fish at most for those who prefer seafood for example. The coffee/tea is self serviced by a few machines which broke down constantly or simply empty. No fault of the staff as they were overloaded with work . Felt more canteenlike than restaurant.

Overall we think the staff work very hard to cope with the amount of customers. The hotel it seems has new and old rooms. Ours was 2 star max. We won't return.
