we travelled to this hotel with our 3 year old son and parents and travelled with first choice. our first impressions were excellent we were greeted by very friendly reception staff and the reception and bar area in the reception were immaculate. we were taken by golf buggy to our rooms and were given the most beautiful sea views. there was also wine and fruit in the room as we were celebrating an Anniversary and a bottle of water in the fridge which we thought was a lovely touch. the room overall was a bit worn and the shower was not the best. also the towels were tiny and some days we did not get enough as the maids seemed to run out. that said it was clean it had comfy beds good facilities and the view was fab. we quickly realised on arrival that we were only the third party to check in for the season so the hotel was virtually deserted! we had a wonder round the grounds which overall are farly well maintained but we were extremely dissapointed when we got to the play area as although the equipment seemed in good condition there were huge pot holes in the sandy floor (deep enough to come up to my sons knee) and also bits of cement mixed in the sand- it looked quite obvious that the work men constructing the new water slides had been digging up sand from the play ground to make cement! there was also a pine tree in the play area being held up with two planks of wood however the wood had lots of large rusty nails poking out. furthermore the childrens pool had lots of debrie in it- again from the work on the slides. i complained to reception and i must say they were very understanding and did clean the pool and sweep the the playground floor but it still was not clean and the rusty nails remained. we were offered the opportunity to go to use the facilities at another aquis hotel for the day which was very kind but we did not take them up on the offer as we felt it was too much and the pool near the beach was lovely but obviously too deep for a 3 year old! the beach is also lovely and to be honest we took our son to the beach most of the time. the food always tasted fresh and was lovely although did get repatitive but i think this happens everywhere and drinks were good. this hotel is within walking distance of a small village however it was so sad to see it is obviously a victim of the times as was very run down. the people were so friendly and really appreciated any money you spent with them! local bus is good and you can catch this outside the hotel and takes you into corfu town which is lovely! overall a really friendly and clean hotel which has a good beach and is very spacious just need to watch out for a few health and safety issues especially if you have kids (there were quite a few trailing wires as well during our stay which needed to be watched out for). first choice give this hotel a 3 star plus rating which i feel is spot on but the staff definatly deserve 5. this hotel would be perfect if a few minor things were corrected to make it a little safer for small children.

We travelled in October 2012 with my two children 3 year old and 10 month old. Because it was the end of season we had lots of rain! If we had gone earlier on in the year and got better weather the holiday would of been brilliant that was the only let down.
The hotel is literally right on the beach which is beautiful! Its a small stretch but the sand and the water are perfect and that it is basically part of the hotel is great.
There is a small village about 5 minutes walk away with lots of bars resteraunts and mini markets
We really liked the sunset or sunrise bar, cant remember which one it was called but the food there was nice.
The food in the hotel was really good for an all inclusive obviously you cant really complain as they are all pretty much the same but we thought the quality and choice here was good.
The entertainment wasn't on most of the nights we were there because it was outdoor but they did have a couple of shows inside that were ok a magic show and singers. The mini disco is what we most looked forward to but it was only on twice in the week we stayed because of the rain and was mostly in german which was a shame.
We got the bus from the hotel that is daily at 10 in the morning and back at about 5ish, too corfu town this was the best part of the holiday for us Corfu town is lovely the old town and the rest of the shops and cafes, resteraunts, definitely the place to shop for souvenirs
there were a lot of wasps everywhere ive never been to Greece before so I don't know if it is the same all year round or whether it was the time we went but it was a real pain with the kids I was constantly worried that they were going to be stung
All in all the hotel was nice we enjoyed it and would return but at a different time of year

A lovely hotel to stay in, great swimming area, clean, good choice of food for all meal times and when serious injury occurred (outside of hotel premises) the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We spent 6 days at Aquis Sandy Beach Resort in Korfu in the beggining of July. We can recomend this hotel, becauce it has nice location near the sandy beach. In this all inclusive resort we apreciate very good food and also beverage programe was OK. The bus connection with the capital Kerkyra was very poor (only 3- 4 x a day in not so good time) and we use it only once. Wheather was very nicet during the whole week and we spend there nice 6 days and in some years we will plan to go back.

We are a couple in our forties and stayed here the last 2 weeks of the season 5th October to 19th October.
On first impressions, hotel clean and modern, check in staff were quick and efficient. Offered to deliver our bags by golf trolley while we had lunch. As our room was close to reception we decided to leg it with bag's and explore complex.
We were really pleased when we entered our room, they had given us a 1 bedroom apartment, very spacious, modern and clean with a very large balcony with side views to the sea,
Beds were two queen's and the shower was a lovely walk in power shower, No bath, but this was ok as we prefer showers, We had flat screen TV and dvd player and aircon was in with the price. Living room was very large with 2 big sofa beds and a large wardrobe.
Maid's came everyday and the whole complex was kept immaculate. The grounds are lovely.
There are 2 large pools, a fun pool with slides and a life guard on duty and this is where the animation team and kid's club operate with a nice pool side bar with sitting area in the shade. The stage is also near the pool and nightly entertainment is put on weather permitting or inside a large stuffy room if it rains. Which it did torrentially for 3 days. But we expected inclement weather at this time of year. Although the other 11 days were scorching hot.
Not having children with us we spent most of our time by the quiet pool which was served by a pool bar and it was right next to the sandy beach, with sunloungers and watersports.
The reastaurant is huge and it does get busy early on, best to wait until families have eaten.
The first week we found really good, excellent salad bar and always something to eat, the greek dishes are nicer than the international ones, the rabbit stifado was excellent. However by the second week it all became a bit boring. There are plenty of restaurants to eat near the hotel with good ingredients and competitive prices.
There is a shop in the grounds of the hotel where you can your daily paper and other non essentials, a sort of gift shop selling the usual holiday stuff.
Found all of the staff to be really friendly and even though there are hundreds of guests, staff remember you and what you are drinking. Overall we found this a lovely hotel and paid less than £1100 for both of us, the only problem being is we found it a bit too big for us. But we did meet some lovely people and can recommend this hotel to couples and especially families.
I would have to point out that most people stayed in the hotel or on the beach and found the restaurants close by suffered becasuse of the all inclusive, I would suggest eating out at least a couple of times while there. Not much else in this resort but if you hire a car there are some lovely beaches and villages close by.

I spent one week at Aquis Sandy Beach Resort with my fiance from the 8th October until the 15th. We didn't arrive until 2am but we were greeted with a lovely sandwich and a very cold drink of orange juice. It took around 5 minutes to fill out a form and we then waited outside for a pick-up carriage to take us to our hotel apartment. Me and my fiance could not believe our luck when we got into our room, it was massive. There were two double beds in one room, with a wardrobe, flat screen TV and plenty of storage spaces. We also had a lovely view from our window with the pool directly opposite us. There was an extra room where there was two sofas, a mini fridge and another wardrobe, this room lead us to our reasonably big balcony. The bathroom was very nice, smelt clean and the shower was out of this world, very powerful! Our rooms were cleaned everyday with new sheets and the lovely cleaner also tidied our personal belongings.

Unfortunately during our stay it was not bikini weather and there were horrendous thunder storms, without exaggerating the sky was purple! However, without the nice beach weather we were very entertained with the all inclusive alcohol, friendly staff and the pool tables.

The food was delicious, it was also at the right temperature and there was always a lot of different foods on offer, I've got to admit that I was quite let down with the lack of desserts as I do enjoy sweet foods. There were a few times when it was warm enough to sit outside and eat my food which was very enjoyable with gorgeous views and lots of different birds.

Me and my fiance decided to travel outside of the hotel and as you walk down past the beach you will find a lot of traditional Greek restaurant and souvenir shops selling fake designer brands and official cheap fags (handy if you are a smoker). We visited the Panorama restaurant which was gorgeous, it was cheap and you had a massive portion,

Drinks at the hotel were quite exotic, there were a crazy mix of cocktails that you could chose from. Morning coffees were definitely a treat too! I would not rate the beer to highly though, it tasted very watered down.

The night time entertainment varied for different age groups, cultures and languages so definitely worth staying up for!

Whether you are going as a couple, family, friends or alone there is plenty to do for everyone. Greece is a beautiful country, so try and explore as much as you can and take the opportunity to go on day trips!
