Good restaurants are HARD TO FIND in Eivissa. El Faro was recommended to us by locals. Nice location, intimate setting, and that's about it. El Faro is ridiculously overpriced, we paid approx. 5 Euro only for the table setting and bred. The mixed fish platter (approx. 40 Euro) was terribly dry, the portions were very tiny, and the service was absolutely unprofessional (my Spanish skills are very good) and rude. We doubted that there was a real, professional cook/chef de cuisine in the kitchen! In Zurich where I live, cooking the El Faro-way would be an offense.

This restaurant is in a lovely position on the port and looks very attractive. The food we had was average and very expensive. The worse thing about the meal was the service. We paid our bill in cash, the waiter took it away then another member of staff returned and said it was 50 euros short, there was no way we made this error, we checked and double checked which notes each of us (5) had contributed. God knows what happened to the money. We asked to see the manager who was not available and they just left us, presumably hoping we would just cough up the 50 euros!. We left. This has never ever happened to any of us before and totally ruined our night.
AVOID THIS RESTAURANT LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Overpriced, relying on the area and the nice terrace for a good trade.

Last night we had the worst meal and service ever, we started with prawn cocktail and a tuna salad which granted was of good quality but from then the meal went down hill.
We both had the beef stroganoff which came fairly lukewarm and the quality of the beef did not warrant the 28.50 euro price tag. For dessert we had the chocolate pie which we asked was hot or cold and the waiter replied cold and guess what, yes it came warm! The waiting time to receive the bill was shockingly slow. At a total of 136 euro's ( which included their own 8% service charge and 8 euros for bread!!) was a complete rip off. In conclusion the service is to slow and the food is over priced.

We were just passing by this restaurant and asked the manager if we could have coffee and dessert as we have already dined in another place. He said yes, of course, and brought us to the table. Then we have waited for more than 10 min to be attended. The waiter seemed very unhappy that we wouldnt make an order and just have the dessert. Than more than 15 min we waited for our coffee and ice-cream. The bill for 1 espresso and 1 tea and 3 balls of ice cream was 29.70 euros!!! 1 ball -7.50 euros! And it was normal ice cream from the supermarket. I asked what is so special about this ice cream and the waiter answered: what do you want? It is an expensive restaurant!!! we felt our night completely broken after this.
