just spent one christmas week at the callao garden with my girlfriend and my suns familly. We arrived early , more then 2 hours before check in time, but the apartments was ready and we`v been accomodatet promptly. Apartmens are clean and good size and remember better times. But the top of 3 stars. Food was average but O.K. and I didn`t see any flies on it,but i didn`t take any lunch there. Location is fine, if you chooze it for travelling the island like we did..Nice christmas ev galla . The AI was worthy the money. Overall we were pleased and we would go back next year.
If you are not happy upgrade to superior apartment for a small money- 5£ a day with pool and sea view.

Room Tip: superior apartments are newly refurbished

Reception & staff at Callao gardens was very inviting rooms were spacious but basic & slightly tired which for us was fine we had room only accommodation which we was pleased with as the food & drinks wasn't up to much the pools & bar were clean & tidy over all was pleased as we got what we paid for quiet location good for families be careful of restaurants as they are very expensive much cheaper in Americas & Los christianos just 5-10min drive better beaches & restaurants worth hiring a car as you can get a pint for euro & 3 courses for 8•95€ in lots of different restaurants

The apartments were fine. All inclusive is what you would expect for price, location not very good. If your lookin for a quiet holiday location this is fine, nothing around there for the kids to, had to keep gettin taxi into costa adeje. Overall i would go back for a cheap break.

just spent christmas at the callao gardens with my husband and 2 children, firstly when we arrived we were told they didnt have an apartment for us, not a good start, but they did put us in a 2 bed apartment when we only booked a 1 bed so that was an improvement. the rooms were dated and furniture and kitchen need replacing asap. there were the tiniest of ants all over the apartment so if you bought any food it had to be kept in the fridge at all times so they couldnt get in it. could have been cleaner from the onset but ok. lovely big patio areas. the food in the restaurant was the same day after day but edible, but by the second week you just didnt fancy any of it as it was the same dinner and lunch options, fish, pork, rice, chips nuggets etc. staff were always friendly and spoke good english but the manager was a bit stand offish, especially if you wanted to complain about anything as they he branded you a trouble maker. my husband complained 3 times about the state of the pool toilets that were open but had no running water so were unable to be flushed so you can imagine the state of them, eventually they closed them off when my husband said he was going to send a video in of them to holiday watchdog!!!, on the last day of our holiday they sent someone to clean them, it only took them 2 weeks to do that and then reopened them still with no running water!!. the resort has a few bars and restaurants and the beach is a bit of a hike but it is a good walk back uphill to the hotel so not good for anyone with breathing or walking difficulties. it was what it was for the money .............................

Room Tip: rooms at the bottom of the complex are quieter as a lot of them overlook the main pool where the ent...

just got back from a lovely christmas break with the family and i can say i thoroughly enjoyed myself. i was sceptical at first about going away for christmas as im quite a traditional bloke but the heat soon changed my mind. the hotel itself is beautiful and is by far the best 3 star i have stayed in. the rooms are spacious and the views are picturesque. we went all inclusive for 10 nights and i agree the food was a bit samey but im pretty particular anyway so for me its the same wherever i go. the entertainment is fantastic and has a broad choice of activities running through the day such as aqua gym, shooting, archery, mini golf and tennis, plus the russian girl from the animation team is just out of this world. all the staff were really friendly and up for a laugh and the restuarant staff really made an effort kitting out the place on christmas day. there was a show on every night such as dancers and wild animals and a mini disco to keep the kids (and adults) happy. for a holiday i didnt even want to go on id go back in a second, plus 20 cigs for 2 euros... what more could you possibly want?

We had read mixed reviews of this hotel but travelled with an open mind as not everyone has the same standards and expectations. Upon arrival we were pleased to find a clean spacious well equipped apartment with a fantastic ocean view. On venturing to the 1 bar which was open and where greeted by surly staff we found that the reviews regarding the food were completely accurate. The food on our night of arrival was abysmal. It was cold, extremely poor quality food that was covered in flies. It consisted of deep fried fish sticks, chicken nuggets and chips. No potatoes or vegetables. the volume of food was ridiculously low and it was an inconvenience for the staff to replenish the trays. We had the breakfast the following morning (Christmas day) which was burnt, cold and again very poorly protected from the flies. By day 3 we were both very ill and we are convinced it was due to eating cold poor quality food covered in flies. As a result we spent the rest of our stay having to pay for food in restaurants which is unacceptable when you have paid for All Inclusive. Having spoken with four other families of different nationalities we found that they had the same complaints regarding the food and cleanliness and they also had been ill which I doubt is coincidence. This hotel would be best sold as a self catering one as they clearly do not know how to produce all inclusive food. We wished we had gone self catering as our holiday would have been excellent. The area itself is ideal for those who don't want 24 hour noise and yes it is hilly but not to the extent that your legs are In agony for the duration. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill where for 2 euros you can go to Las Americas, Los Cristianos or Costa Adeje which is full of bars, restaurants and shops so overall complex is great but Avoid All Inclusive we feel we have been robbed and will be writing to Blue Seas Holidays about our complaint..

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floors and ask for a 3rd floor we stayed in 345 which was the top floor and had an...

This is a well laid out complex with fairly good apartments.
It is on the side of a barranco, so is quite a steep climb in places.
The reception is at the top, by the road, and the main pool/snack bar/ bar area is at the bottom.
This place is OK if you're willing to pay out for everything. The TV is on a meter and is €1 per hour. Microwaves are NOT supplied, but I think they can be rented. Wi-Fi is €5 per day or €10 for 3 days.
A friend who stayed for a week while I was there was even charged €22.50 for electric/hot water. When she asked why she was told it depended who you book with (!!?)
I checked out the food in the buffet restaurant (€12.50 for lunch; dunno about dinner). It looked as if the food had been sitting under the hot lamps for a coupla days, so, obviously, I gave it a miss !
Can't say what entertainment (if any ) there was; I ate out every night.
Reception staff were very helpful, and seemed somewhat apologetic at having to charge for everything.
One other thing. Towels are strictly rationed ! If you were a single occupant, you got 1 small towel and 1 medium-ish towel.(It definitely wasn't large). None for the bidet !!!
I had to BEG for extra towels.
Every time I've asked for more towels at other places they threw them at me. Not here.
May be if I paid for them I might have got them more willingly.
Wouldn't stay here again. Wouldn't recommend it either.
The bugs didn't sting, but the Callao Garden certainly did !

Room Tip: Rooms nearer the reception had the best views. They're higher.
