Description: El Ancla is the best restaurant in Tenerife. A relaxing, welcoming atmosphere and great views of the beach Ajabo to seduce all of your senses. An evening full of flavors accompanied of our house wine from La Rioja. We invite you to stop by our restaurant, located in the quiet area Callao Salvaje (Adeje).

Food was fresh. Service was friendly. We dined there twice during our two week holiday returning because we enjoyed it the first time. Views from restaurant are of the beach.

Went to this restaurant as the reviews were all very good. I would say that the experience did not live up to expectations. The food was good, if a little pricy but the service was so slow that we could not bring ourselves to wait any longer for a dessert having waited approx 40 mins to get the menu. The explanation given was due to staff illness so I hope you have a better experience if you go.

Visited this restaurant in February and again in July this year - never fails to disappoint. Garlic prawns to start - best ever - followed by delicious sea bream (husband had steak). Food piping hot. Unfortunately too full for a dessert so plumped for calypso coffees. All fab with a lovely view of the sea. This was our most expensive meal of our holiday at 78 euros (including bottle of wine) but was well worth it. Got a lovely Ron miel with cream on paying our bill - yum. Very friendly staff. Already looking forward to going back next year.

We've been to Tenerife a few times but this was our first visit to Callao Salvaje. Quite a few restaurants were recommended to us however due to the time of year (supposed quiet time) most of the decent restaurants were closed however not El Ancla. We ate here towards the end of our holiday so only ate here once, if only we'd visited at the beginning. The food was excellent, my wife had King prawns in a Leek sauce on a bed of rice and I had the fillet medallions in a truffle and Armengnac sauce, both meals were excellent. If you visit Callao Salvaje you must try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed, also, the service was very friendly.

After looking around the town the first few nights to find somewhere good to eat, we initially discounted it because of the mainly seafood orientated menu (as my girlfriend isn't the biggest fan). However after reading about how good it was on here we took a chance and tried it. What an amazing place!
I had the smoked salmon and she had the Camembert. Both absolutely delicious. Then she had fillet steak and I had the lasagne, again both cooked to perfection! We then had the vodka lemon sorbet to share for dessert which was incredible. That along with all the trimmings (delicious fresh bread, olives, dips, coffee, and the gingerbread vodka at the end) made it well worth the extra money over the cheaper restaurants in town!
The excellent service just topped it off.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough and we would definitely eat there again!
