“Great bargain accommodation”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Stayed for 1 week with husband at beginning of September in a studio. The rooms had everything needed and the kitchenette was well equipped with hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. The bathroom could have done with a little updating but it was adequate and the shower was lovely and powerful and got really hot if thats how you like it. The room itself was spotless and was cleaned with fresh towels every other day. We requested a sea view room on an upper floor and this was what we got, directly over the road from the beach it was a lovely view and you could hear the waves, the only downside to this as mentioned in previous reviews is that there is no air con in the front facing rooms and it really is needed as it can get a little noisy on a night with the windows open and even then there isnt that much of a sea breeze, however Carmen at reception told me on check out that they are planning to have air con fitted in the remaining rooms by next year! Pool was smaller than expected but adequate...very cold though! Plenty of sunloungers available for use and some shaded areas. Staff were always really helpful...my only other gripe was not with the hotel itself but other guests...the doors are heavy and people seemed to forget there are handles on them...lots of door slamming! but this is obviously just a personal gripe of mine.

Silliot itself is lovely, beach clean with loungers if you want to hire them, not party central but enough to do and plenty of nice places to eat. Our personal favourite was Bi Ba Bo, went several times and delicious food with great service everytime we went, lovely breakfasts too. I think people who were staying more than a week may struggle to entertain themselves but there is easy access to other resorts and trips out, we did an excursion to the caves of drach and porto christo, which was really good, unfortunately didnt spot Rafa Nadal who lives there though! (Porto Christo, not the caves lol)

All in all, a great bargain holiday and would consider coming back one day.

Room Tip: sea view rooms do not have air con

Just returned from a 10 day holiday with my husband and son. I would recommend this hotel and location highly. We had a great time. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We were self catering so didn't eat at hotel. We had some lovely meals, with there being plenty of bars and restraunts on the doorstep. Our favourites were the welsh bar for a lovely full English breakfast!! Be Bi Bo for an amazing paella and also the Irish bar in sa coma for a steak and great pint of Guinness!
The pool was clean but a bit on the cold side with plenty of sun beds. The beach is on doorstep and is picturesque, crystal clear and white sands.
Will definitely be returning, a great family holiday at a great location!!!

Just returned from here and he a fab time, hotel basic but cheap friendly and clean....(no rats as another review had said)
I went with my partner & 5 yr old son.
The entertainment of an evening was great and the bar staff were so friendly. Didn't think much to s'illot not the fishing village I'd read up on.
However I would recommend a trip to Porto Cristo, gorgeous beach and lovely traditional back street tapas bars.
Didn't eat at the hotel but breakfast smelt nice!!!
Some reception staff were a bit of fish and nothing was really explained about the 5% discount you could receive. However I would return.
Great location for beach and bus stops and some ok bars around if you aren't interested in the traditionalists to Mallorca.

I loved this holiday. i went with my boyfriend. I'm 17 and he was 19. The hotel was spotless, it was so clean. The rooms were minimul but had everything you needed. the hotel was modern, the entertainment was different each night and they had happy hour each night. the beach was about 30 seconds away from the hotel. there is shops and restaurants over a bridge next to the hotel. Sa coma is also very close with more shops and restaurants and pubs. its about 10 minutes walk up on the beach to Sa coma. The beaches were white and the sea was clear and warm. I'd warn you about people selling things on the beach as they will rip you off. Also a lady selling carnation flowers she will rip you off as we was ripped off she doesnt actually end up giving you a flower but a leaf. the weather was hot for the time we had in the sun. It rained mostly but the 5 months before that week they had a heatwave and no rain, just bad luck for us really. the staff in the hotel are very friendly. There are spar shops just outside hotel. Mini golf is just up the road too. We went on a safari, it was minimul for the animals but you are basically in with the animals on a trailer. they roam around anywhere. it costs 20 euros per adult and you get a free transfer there and back. overall this holiday was brilliant as i was my first holiday away with my boyfriend and i would happily recomend this to anyone, couples, families or just on your own.

My husband and I just returned from a week's holiday in Playa Moreia. Our room was situated at the back of the hotel but we didnt mind as this is the only place in the hotel you can get air-con. The location is superb for beach lovers, quite expensive at 8 euros per day for 2 sunloungers but the beach is beautiful. Sacoma is a very short walk away and here its a little bit busier, more restraunts ect. Sillot itself is lovely, serene and quiet which suited us as we left the kids at home. Loads of germans also. We never visited the pool area as we were at the beach mostly. Never ate at the hotel either. Reception staff can be a little 'off' at times but overall it was ok. Rooms were spotless but did however have to ask for towels after 4 days as the maid missed our room. Would definately return.

Returned home this week, following an 11 night stay here.2 adults, twin 17 year old girls and an 11 year old boy.We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, self catering with a sea view and found nothing at all to complain about. I was worried after reading some reviews on here- mainly about room position. We arrived late and were greeted by a very smiley, helpful man on reception (we were also smiley!) Our room was on the 5th floor- room 524. We moved beds around so that we had a double in one of the bedrooms and 3 singles and a sofa in the other. There was a separate area with hob, fridge, sink, microwave, table and 6 chairs and another sofa. The whole place was very clean. We did find ants the 2nd day in the wardrobe-we reported these and 2 maids arrived within 5 mins and cleaned around all edges of all rooms- there were no further ants inside the whole holiday- brilliant. Clean towels every other day-and enough for two each. Lots of loo roll provided too! The position of the hotel is brilliant as many others have said. We could see and hear the sea day and night for the whole holiday . The room was as hot as you'd expect in a majorcan heatwave.. cold showers, dips in the beautiful sea and the pool kept us all happy. We enjoyed food in The Beach Hut/Bar... go early to enjoy sitting outside. We also had great mixed paella in Onkel Willys. Search out the town square one evening too, we enjoyed watching locals ballroom and line dancing there. People at the hotel are all very friendly, mainly families without heirs and graces getting on with relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. We were given parasols, air beds and a body surf board by others leaving which we were grateful for, used then passed on to others as we left. Our daughters and son all made friends and parents were mindful of the safety and happiness of each others as well as their own children around the hotel. There is a local bus service stop just near the hotel, we went to Porto Cristo for 8 euros each way. We also took a trip to the main supermarket in Sa Coma and stocked up on drinks ham cheese fruit veg there as cheaper than the Spar near the hotel (walk there, taxi back-they call a taxi from the front desk for you). Wish we could have stayed longer, S'Illot is a lovely place.

Just got back from a week at Playa Moreia apartments. Had requested a sea view room but was so glad to be allocated a room at the back because of the air con. I noticed all of the sea facing rooms on my floor had their doors wedged open with chairs in an attempt to get a through draft to cool the room. This is definitely an issue in August but probably less so at other times of the year. As many of the other reviews say, the apartments are kept very clean and the staff are both friendly and helpful. The location could not be any better, with everything you need on your doorstep. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in the resort serving spanish and english food (if that's what you want). My favourite restaurant was Es Moulet at the harbour because the food was delicious and the view was lovely. The beach bar is indeed a great little place, especially for a tasty baguette at lunch time. I found the resort to be good value for money, the only thing is that two sunbeds and a parasol on the beach costs 12 euros, something to think about if you're on a tight budget. I walked to Sa Coma one evening and was very unimpressed by it but again, if you like english pubs and food you might enjoy it. There is plenty to see and do in S'illot and the playa moreia does have entertainment every evening. This is an ideal spot for couples and families looking for a relaxing holiday with everything you need at your fingertips. I would definitely go back again.
