From the 16th to the 30th July 2013, my wife, son and I stayed here. First impressions were great and this continued throughout our stay. Nick and his team were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment (Room 603) was spotlessly clean and maintained so throughout our stay, towels and linen were changed regularly as well. The area around the pool was kept clean and was never too crowded during the day. Good combination of shade and sun meant you could stay there all day if you wished!! Beach and Supermarket 5-10 mins walk away and the town of Skala was about 20 mins away. Plenty of choice of restaurants to try as well as many different bars. Not disappointed in any area with our stay and would definitely go back here again.

Room Tip: Would recommend air conditioning particular in July / August!

From 23rd - 30th July, my husband and I stayed at the Crystal Palace studios. We were very impressed from the moment we arrived. Nick took us to our room personally and showed us around. There was a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge, along with tea and coffee. There was also washing up liquid, a tea towel and new sponge in the kitchen sink. On the balcony there was a washing line with pegs. The standard of cleanliness throughout was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for Nick and his family. The Greek barbeque night each Thursday is not to be missed. The area around the pool was great and Nick ensured there were always sunbeds available; even when they all appeared to be taken. The path from the apartments to the main road was shaded and well lit at night. We both enjoyed the quiet nearby beach and there was a range of food to eat in Skala, including many local dishes. The town has managed to retain some of its charm despite being set up for the British tourist. We enjoyed the 'Discover Kefalonia' trip which enabled us to see most of the island. Be aware that you need additional 10 euro per person for entrance to 2 attractions. We'd recommend this holiday to friends and family and would go back again.

My Husband and I stayed at Crystal Palace from 23rd-30th July. It was our first time visiting Kefalonia so we booked our accommodation based on all the fantastic Trip Advisor reviews. We were not disappointed! Crystal Palace was fantastic. Nick and his family made us immediately welcome when we arrived, checking us in and showing us to our room. We stayed in room 405 which did partially look over the car park but still had a sea view. The room was immaculately clean and very spacious. We paid €40 for air-conditioning in our room which was worth every penny. We also paid €20 to use the safe in our room. The beds were made daily and the towels changed regularly.
We spent some time around the pool which like everywhere else is spotlessly clean. We enjoyed many drinks (make sure you try a Nick's Special Cocktail!) and the odd burger or sandwich. I highly recommend you go to greek BBQ night on Thursdays where Nick cooks some amazing food and everyone joins in with the greek dancing. It's a great night to meet all your fellow guests and have a laugh. Crystal Palace is only a very short walk (5-10 mins) from the beach and supermarket. There is a well lit bamboo trail that takes you straight there from the apartments. Also it's only around 15-20 mins walk to the centre of Skala, where you will find plenty of restaurants and bars.
Kefalonia is possibly the most beautiful place I have ever visited. Skala was the perfect getaway, relaxing and peaceful but still plenty to do. We took a boat trip to Ithaca and had an inflatable sofa ride behind a speed boat as well as spending lots of time chilling on the beach (a set of 2 sun beds costs as little as €5 for a day).
Overall we would highly recommend Crystal Palace, Nick and his family work tirelessly to take care of their guests. It really was the perfect holiday :)

Our 7th time here which probably says it all. so just to echo what other reviewers have said:

Nick, Vicky, Effie and Eirini are the absolute best hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The standard of the accomodation and cleanliness are second to none. The food is great and excellent value. All in all agreat holiday and we can't wait until our next visit.

So many people are returning; that in itself speaks volumes

We stayed there from the 16th-23rd of July with my girlfriend and daughter and had a perfect holiday. We arrived late after a good flight from Manchester to be greeted by Nick and his family who then showed us to our room. We were in room 104 witch was very big with a good view of the sea. Over the space of our weeks stay we hired a car and toured the island and to say we have been to most Greek islands Kefalonia is one of the prettiest and easiest to drive round (apart from the 3 roundabouts!!!!). We also attended Nick's Greek night with local dancing and good food all for 15 euros. All in all the apartment's was spotless and well kept with good service and snacks available throughout the day and a 10 minute walk to the beach and about 20-25 minute walk to Skala via the bamboo trail. If you have mobility problems this might be an issue !!! and also after dark there was quite a few cricket's jumping about but that just added to the experience. We would definitely return these apartments and also recommend them to anyone else. If you have the chance to go or have any doubts just book it and don't worry you will love it.

I stayed here with mu husband and his son, our room was perfect and very clean, the staff were very pleasant and we were made to feel welcome, the whole place was spotless and I would come back again, and the beach was a stones throw away and it was a 20 minute walk to the main town, although there were plenty of restaurants along the beach road too!
