“Beautiful!!”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

We have just arrived back from the apollo apartments in skala and i have to say it was one of the best we have ever stayed in, they were very clean and had everything you needed. we were in aprt 13 and the view was AMAZING. the ownwers Lana, Natasha and Christos were very welcoming and always spoke to us. it was a bit of a walk to skala villiage 30 min but a taxi only costs 5 euro each way so we did that a few times and someone at the bar will ring for one if you ask. Overall the holiday was very reaxing and it was the perfect getaway, just wished we went for two weeks. Thank you Apollo for a great holiday x

We have just returned from a week at the Apollo Apartments in Skala and had an amazing holiday. The location you cannot fault. We were in a room with an enormous wrap around balcony and to wake up in the morning to the most beautiful view of the sea was fabulous. There is a good sized infinity pool, with a small one for little people...The bar serves snacks and drinks throughout the day. If you are a beach person the local beach which was about 15 minute walk. You could also walk into Skala in the evening to the restaurants about 30 minutes. The harbour to the left of the apartments is worth a look very picturesque. Skala is very laid back as is the Apollo apartments, if your looking for a quiet chilled holiday, then this is the place for you.

Room Tip: Rooms are allocated on arrival, but if you had the choice ask for Room 10, the sun is always on the...

We were last at the Apollo in July 2012 and have been many times previously. The out of town location means that car hire is recommended but this is a bonus not a problem. The rooms, gardens, and pool are very well looked after and Christos, Natasha, Thanos, and Alex do everything that they can to ensure that your holiday is as enjoyable as possible. This even extended to Alex and Thanos providing instruction in traditional Greek card games.

We returned to the Apollo on Aug 28th for another two week stay as we enjoyed it so much last year and met great new friends. Again we were treated amazingly by the Pappas family and it was wonderful to see them again. As last time the Apollo is amazing, paradise! The Apollo is spotless and you cannot fault anything there, we were in room 19 this year, and the room was amazing, our little 4 month baby had no bother at all. The pools again were spotless and again our 4 month old went into both pools with no bother. Thanos beat me this year at pool however he has practised all year and even had his own tailored cue!!!! Me and Dave gonna take our own next year as we have booked again next year, as it is such a great place and great for children as the pool is never packed out and our little son can enjoy the peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Be quick as it near enough fully booked all next year!

Stayed here for the second time and nothing has changed,we were in room 11 , overlooking the pool with a massive balcony. This is Kefallonia at it's very best and the location is brilliant. The apartments are situated about a 5 minute car ride out of Skala on the road to Poros, right on the edge of the cliff with fantastic sea views. I think there are only 12 rooms in the whole block, they are basic but what else do you need a room for except sleeping and showering? The Pappas family that run the apartments are lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them and Thannos and Alex the 2 boys love to see returning guests. If you want peace and tranquility this is the place to go, it is beautiful. Most nights we drove into Skala for a meal, usually at the Flamingo restaraunt which we could not fault. Snacks are served by Natasha at the pool side bar and these were delicious. It is a good 20-25 minute walk into Skala , but taxi's are only 5 euros each way.As it is a small complex you meet some really nice people and we would love to say hello to Dave and Jackie from Covent Garden, also Clive and Lyndsey and their lovely baby Will. We had an amazing week there and cannot wait to go back there next year. This is definitely 10 out of 10, thanks to the Pappas family.

Room Tip: Room 11 was brilliant with a huge balcony

i stayed at the apollo apartments 28th august 2012 stunning views of the sea and the boat houbour fantastic, the pool was good for my son very clean not good for younger children, it is totally peacefull and relaxing, downside is are bathroom window which is next to the front door has no lock it can just be pushed open, we had to pay 10 euros for a key to the safe for the week for are passports and money which is not on they said they would fix the window but never did we also had to buy are own glasses from the shop as we could not borrow any that is designed so you spend at there bar also the shutter for you to block the sun out in the morning broke could not get it back up was lefted down so we could not get on to the balcony for the rest of are stay the apartments are very basic i would not stay there again kafalonia is the perfect place just choose right on where you stay apollo apartments have the most amazing veiws outside is kept really clean, but not apartments totally let it down for me, captins bar in scala is brilliant and the parks in scala for children are great my son loved it we plan to go back to kafalonia next year restaurants on the sea front in scala are fantastic

my partner and i stayed at the apollo 10th july arriving late at night natasha made us a toasted sandwich and we had few rose wines . in the morning lookin from our apartment on the ground floor no10 ! we were amazed at the view of the sea the pool and gardens very quiet just the sound of goats bells and the sound of crickets . so we went to find our feet and walk to the supermarket which was bit of a walk but passed couple of restaurants on the way and amazing cake shop selliig fantastic cakes and ice cream . the other way from the apartments we found some coves that were quiet and we swam and snorkled water was crystal clear and like a bath what more could you ask for paradise . the best place to eat was captin petes the boat lovley family run restaurant.

Room Tip: they only have 12 apartments the back over looks the sea and the front over looks the road and hills...
