Just returned from Kefalonia where we got married on this boat !!! Can't really put into words how fantastic it was. The crew and the Captain are just fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble and it's as though they do it every day as they make everything seem effortless.
Normal crusies go out everyday to different places and this week they start the Saturday Night Beach BBQ that leaves early evening. A trip on this boat is a MUST you will never spend your money on something so worthwhile. Kefalonia's coastline is spectacular as are the places the boat visits so don't miss out !! Take my advise you won't regret it honestly !
Went to Ithaca last Fri , this was the best day of our holiday. Good value at 35 euros (15% off if you go on a second trip) Just the right length of day leaving Scala beach at 9.00 and returning at about 4.50 . 2 swim stops in fantastic bays, 2 stops with enough time to explore-, an extra stop at Poros on the way back to pick up a birthday cake for the Captain which was shared with us all --Happy Birthday Captain and may you enjoy many more . Good atmosphere on the boat ,mixed age group and very well organised . Highly recomended one not to miss . They also do trips up the coast of Kephalonia, and to Zante if we had been staying longer we would have done another trip
This has to be our favourite day out whilst Holidaying in Skala.A leisurely cruise stopping off for lunch at Kioni which is an absolutely fantastic setting.Visiting Vathy for a stroll along the waterfront a visit to the local bakeries. We find Vangelis trips good value for money and you get a discount if you book two cruises which we did and also travelled to Zante.
Brilliant day out - lovely places to visit - not your usual 'duff' places with nothing more than a taverna. The capital of Ithaca was lovely, with gorgeous bakeries. and the bays for swimming were perfect.
Just returned from a trip to Ithaka, with Captain Vangelis' cruises. The price was very reasonable, 35 euros per adult, 20 for children 4-12. Booking was easy and although our original cruise was cancelled due to bad weather, the helpful lady rebooked us no problem. The trip left on time 0900 right from Scala beach and returned there at 16.30.
There were 4 adults and 2 children under 4 in our group and everyone had a great day. The crew were very helpful and child friendly. The boat had all the necessary facilities including a small bar. There were 2 swim stops and 2 stops of approx 90 mins at lovely harbours, for coffee, lunch etc. On the way back we had a complimentary drink and snacks.
If we had had time we definitely would have booked another cruise with Captain Vangelis and would have received an extra 15% off, making it excellent value for money.
Just returned from 2 weeks in Scala and did 2 of Captain Vangeli's cruises. As it was nearing the end of the season, the price had been reduced from 35 euros per person to 30. Also, if you do more than one cruise, you get a 15% discount.
We did the Ithaca and the Fiskardo cruises. The boat leaves from Scala beach at 9.00 am and returns around 4.30 pm and consists of 2 stops and 2 swim stops. I would highly recommend these trips. Ithaca was beautiful - we had lunch at a taverna in Kioni right beside the waterfront. Fiskardo is also very picturesque with lots of lovely tavernas by the water - it as also a bit more expensive than Scala. As we were on the last trip of the season, at Karavamilos, the staff of the taverna and the boat crew laid on (free of charge) a wonderful meal of greek salads, cheese pies, swordfish, breads etc plus wine, soft drinks and ouzo - what a lovely and very generous gesture.
