My daughter visited Hotel Campomar in July 2012 as part of a school trip from the UK in July 2012.
The location of the hotel is good. But that's the only good thing which can be said about the place. The rooms are poor, the food even worse.
On the last day, many of the children's rooms were burgled. There were no signs of forced entry, it appears a key had been used. Many items were stolen, ranging from hair clips/slides, clothing, jewellery/watches etc. Items were carefully removed from already packed cases, as the children were due to leave later that day.
To steal possessions of 12 year old children on their first overseas visit is nothing short of a disgrace. What made it worse however is the fact that hotel staff did not believe the thefts had happened and did nothing.
An investigation was allegedly carried out after the group left but nothing was found. Nothing was done.
It was the first time my daughter's school had used this hotel, they visit the region every year. We are told they won't be using it again.
