we stayed at the castaway cottage with access to both pools, snorkeling outside our door, bbq hammock. The staff were friendly and even helped us to figure out how to use a chimney for the charcoal grill. The cottage had everything including a sewing kit, hair dryer, shampoo, moisturizer etc. Loved hearing the ocean everyday and night. The inside was modern and beachy with a brand new shower. Loved dolphin cove (go in late afternoon after all the cruisers have left). Also there is a weekend fish fry place a beach walk away that was to die for... Get the steamed fish at VIVINE'S restaurant yummy and seemingly island authentic.

I stayed in beachfront condo #3 from December 15-22, 2012. I had not been to Grand Cayman before, and did not want to stay in a crowded tourist area. When I saw the great reviews on this website, I decided to give Turtle Nest Inn a try. I was not disappointed. The unit itself was probably one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. It was spacious, very clean, amazing views, great kitchen (which was important to me because I wanted to cook all my dinners in) and the people were very friendly. I will definitely go back.

Room Tip: I saw a few reviews that said that you could go for the ocean view room and save money, but if you can manage it, go for ocean front.

Our family stayed in one of the Ocean View condos at the Turtle Nest Inn for a week over New Years, and had a wonderful stay. The condo and grounds were well equipped and maintained, and the staff were all pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The location in Bodden Town was convenient for the things we wanted to do (quiet beaches, diving, National Botanic garden), but well away from the busy west end of the island in a more relaxed area. There is excellent snorkeling right in front of the Turtle Nest Inn (further out, but well away from the breakers, is best), and a good dive operator in the quaint village of East End (Ocean Frontiers). Well-supplied stores for groceries, etc are only a 5-10 minute drive west in Savannah, and there is a Cost-U-Less (similar to Costco) in Georgetown. The office was only open 9 to 5 pm, but we didn't find that a big problem if you plan ahead. Make sure you try their pina coladas, and order before the office closes! A car rental was included in the rental cost, and the E class Suzuki had plenty of space for our luggage and our family of 4. We found that our car insurance at home did not cover rentals there, but it was much cheaper to add a clause to our policy back home - just for the duration of our stay - than to pick up the coverage provided by Avis, so check with your agent in advance. Another caution is to be very careful when leaving the parking lot, as the road is narrow and busy during the day, and visibility is poor. This place had everything we wanted, and we can't wait to return next year.

Room Tip: Reserve well in advance. Ocean View Condos 8 and 9 are furthest from the road, and ours was nicely finished, quiet, and better value.

My wife and I chose to stay at the Turtle Nest Inn for a week in November and could not have been happier with our decision. We were looking for something that was nice, relaxing and away from the crowds and this was the place. If you want to go fight with tourists near the cruise ships - knock yourself out. We will be returning here instead.

Everyone you meet on property - be it Marleine, Donna, Duane, Alain or even Mango the resident pup - are there to brighten your day. (But never overbearing or bothersome-truly top notch service).

Our room (a "prime beachfront apartment") was steps from the pool and beautiful beach (which we often had to ourselves). I was initially worried about being "too far" from everything and having to drive around Grand Cayman, but we much preferred the vibe here and discovered that getting around was easy on those days we did feel adventurous.

If you want to relax and recharge, this is the place for you. Best vacation we have been on.

Room Tip: Be sure to checkout some of the nearby jerk stands (anyone on property can give you suggestions). Oh, and snorkeling right on property is easy because they just let you borrow anything you need.
