We tried rankin's based on the positive reviews from Turtle Nest Inn and Tripadvisor and we were so thrilled!
We went back 3 times! The oxtail, jerk chicken, curry chicken and curry goat were wonderful. Flavourful without being excessively salty. Generous portions and great prices.
You order from a window and can eat there under a covered patio/picnic table or takeout.
We also explored the rankin butcher where we bought delicious cuts of meat and had farm fresh food (just picked). Both were tastier and cheaper than the produce and meat purchased from the usual fosters IGA.
Service from the restaurant/butcher/farm was excellent-very efficient!
Great value, especially if you are staying at a place where you can cook (e.g. Turtle Nest Inn).
Really completed our trip. Between Rankin's and Seaside Paradise, we were a happy well-fed vacationed family.
Highly recommend!

Rankin's Jerk Pit just west of Boddentown is a great place for Cayman specialties such as jerk chicken and conch fritter at a reasonable price. The folks are friendly and the things we had were tasty. The day we were there for takeout they were a bit slow, as we ordered for 6 and they were already quite busy. This seems to be the spot currently favored by locals. The adjacent farm is also the place to get beef and fruit at surprisingly low prices, compared to Foster's and other chain stores.

On my most recent trip to Grand Cayman I was craving some authentic jerk chicken with rice and peas and I found it at Rankins! The chicken had just the right amount of spice and the rice and peas and vegetables that accompanied it were delicious as well. I will definitely be back for more on my next trip to Grand Cayman!

Great, reasonable priced local food. The oxtail was a bit bony but the jerk chicken is amazing here and the chicken quesadillas were also awesome. Would definitely come back. Looks like all food is locally raised and grown next door in their farm.

Rankin's is a must for lunch several times when in Cayman. The oxtail, goat, and lobster are my favorites. My kids kill for the chicken strips... Sure the seating out in the sun may not be for everyone, but then everyone carries out.
