I've been to Siquijor 3x and this is the first time i went to Coral Cay Resort, we wanted some time off from the city and have some quiet time and Coral Cay have it all. Although, i heard that it can be fun and perky during the peak summer season. With the bar alive, live music playing and singing but it is a good thing that we came right after the summer season.

There were few tourist looking for quiet time too, the beach does not look good because of the Northeastern Monsoon wind but i know it's breath taking view during summer season. What i like about it is the sunset facing the bar so you can sit down enjoy the breeze while drinking your mojito. The place is very neat, we had a decent room. The staff were polite and helpful. We were able to use the resort's bike for free and went around the island. The food is okay and filling.

Room Tip: No need to get a room with A/C as its fresh and windy. Rooms at the far end is quieter specially if there is loud music from the bar.

We really like the place that is why we came back again and even recommended this to my husband's relatives whom they like adventure and pleasant relaxation. They stayed here too in a separate time.

Though Siquijor is not easily accessed if you came from Cebu, one should manage every details of the itinerary. We did this before and the second time we booked in this resort. Towards our second stay in the resort, we called the receptionist in the morning that we will be coming on that same day leaving Cebu at about 3 or 3:30 pm and arriving Siquijor possibly at 9 pm by two connecting boat schedules. We made sure that we will be fetched and that food in the restaurant can be also attended to. We do not eat just anywhere later in the evening in the wharf. It was a long tiring boat trip. It happened nobody fetched us like before. We waited still nobody came after nearly half an hour of waiting so i called. Hungry and tired we were in a long wait.

In the morning, the owner told us this was the fault of the receptionist.. she thought we depart at 3 a.m. and be received at 9 to 10 day time.

That was the disappointment we encountered in the resort. The rest of our stay in the resort taking Naya Naya our favorite cottage was all well and worth remembering. Thanks to David and Helen with there cute adorable son.

Room Tip: Naya Naya even if the rate is a bit higher but it is fronting the beach and more private.

I just spent four relaxing days in this privately own resort, own by David and retired American and his wife Helen, native of the Philippines, super friendly , attentive and accommodating couple. Beach front location with all the necessary amenities for an nice relaxing time. About a mile of white sandy beaches on both sides of the resort, rustic but very comfortable, there are cabins with and without air conditioning, some will accommodate up to 6 people, pool, full bar and restaurant with great home made fresh food daily , prices are very comfortable , you get your money’s worth and more.

Room Tip: The Naya Naya, is like a small apartment with sleeping accommodation for 4 people, queen size bed in the bedroom, queen size bed in the living room, 2 celling fans and aircon in the bedrrom, full bathrrom , small fridge, sofa and chairs and a great terrace with beach front view

Our Expat club from Bohol ventured out looking for places to take our families in the future. As we got greeted on the beach as our boat approached exceeded our expectations. Even though this was only an overnight stay, this little resort is definitely on our list! Our club has voted to come back in July. Great experience Helen and Dave!

I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights and we didn't want to leave; can't understand some of the other reviews on here.

Siquijor is a beautifully peaceful island where life is seriously laid back. The beaches are stunning if not a wee bit shallow for proper swimming. San Juan beach is blissfully quiet and perfect for getting some serious R&R.

Coral Cay was perfect for us, set right on an almost deserted beach (apart from a resident family of ducks belonging to the property next door who took to the water in the afternoon). Kayaks are available and free to use and there is a bamboo raft out in the sea which is a good base for snorkelling and a serious secluded sun trap. The sand on the beach can get a bit sludgy where the water is and there are a fair few jelly fish which luckily weren't 'stingers' so the bamboo raft is a god send.

We stayed in Duol which was 1600php a night. It's right on the beach front, huge and beautifully done out in a traditional style. Shower was hot but lacking power and there was no air con. The ceiling fan was perfect for our needs though and the breeze blowing in from off the sea cooled the room perfectly. There are cheaper rooms here but they aren't directly on the beach!

The pool is really nice and a welcome relief for proper swimming with comfy sun loungers and shady areas. Food in the restaurant was really good quality and i'd definitely recommend the BBQ chicken. Food and drinks were a little pricey but the friendly and attentive staff made it worth it. There is a little shop just outside on the main road and a laundry and motorbike rental place just outside... We used both as much cheaper than what the resort offers.

The staff on reception were really helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for serious downtime.
