“A half-day trip that is worth the trip.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

The place is beautiful and easy to reach by car. The price to get in is a bit expensive. However the castle is beautiful and from it you can have a great panorama of the lake. The gardens are fine. The museums inside are not so interesting unless you are fond of toys.

“Rocca Borromeo - a nice visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2012

We had heard about the doll collection at the Rocca Angera fortress, but it was so vast that we were amazed. Many of the dolls are really superb and fascinating for both children and adults. The views from the fortress onto the countryside surrounding Lago Maggiore are also lovely. Although the garden looks like it could be further tended to, visiting the Rocca Borromeo is a nice outing for both parents and children.

“Wonderful day & excellent value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2012

We were really impressed with Rocca di Angera and strongly think that entrance fee is very very reasonable (8 eur) considering what is got in return. The view from the castle is amazing, doll museum very amuzing and massive (room after room), remember also to find the stairs all the way up to the top of the castle (4-5 floors up), great experience. Gardens outside are beautiful & really nicely kept and caffee is fabulous as well - sitting outside & enjoying the view. All in all just fabulous place, will be going again.

“High entrance price”

Entrance price should be reduced. At least separate price for doll museum and castle should be appreciated.
