Description: Surrounded by green hills on the horizon with the most impressive Alps , the town lies on the banks of Angera south-east of Lake Maggiore. At the end of the avenue lined with behind the imposing Rocca Borromeo will find the Pizzeria Damino . A few kilometers from the motorway, Angera and easily accessible from Varese and Milan. Near Pizzeria also you will find the pier to reach in a few minutes Arona via boat. Inside you'll find two rooms that make the atmosphere : the first one , the one that overlooks the entrance is welcoming and loving while the second and our " fireplace room " . Warm, cozy and romantic and so named for its magical fireplace 800. Outside, on the other hand a large and spacious outdoor terrace directly overlooking Lake Maggiore. Also studied in detail with a frame hand-made curtains and suited to withstand the weather and sun . Hospitable and pleasant thanks to the suggestive panorama : a lovely lake surrounded by a fence adorned with Arona and the statue of the " San Carlone " on the horizon .

“Busy pizzeria on the waterfront”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

I don't normally eat pizza when I am in Italy, but this restaurant was recommended by our hotel (Il Sole di Ranco) staff. We were looking for something casual and with a view of Lago Maggiore. This place fit the bill perfectly!

First, there are so many pizza combinations that it took us a while to figure out what we wanted to order. Our pizza was delicious (thin crust)! We also ordered a salad and a pasta dish to share - plenty of food for 2 people. The view of the Lake from their outdoor patio is wonderful. Call to make reservations for an outdoor table if the weather is good!

“Don't eat inside”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

I visited the restaurant with a group of business colleagues. The outside terrace was full and so we had to sit inside. It was a very warm evening and the heat inside was overpowering with no fan or air conditioning to help. The waiting staff were constantly to and froing from the restaurant across to the terrace, but seemed to ignore those inside and we had a very long wait before our drinks were served and we could order food. The food when it came was very good and I found the prices to be very reasonable. But it would have so much better to have been eating outside.

“A pizza with a view”
Reviewed January 21, 2012

If you come to Angera in summer you MUST stop at Damino.
It's a very good restaurant, probably the best pizzeria in Angera, with an astonishing view on lake Maggiore and Arona. You can also see St. Carlo Borromeo's statue from the patio of the restaurant!
There are only a few tables inside, so when the weather is cold you'd better place a reservation.
Good service, smiling waiters and optimal quality/price ratio

“The locals'secret in Angera”
Reviewed August 9, 2011

Great pizzas, great food in general. Deserts are delicious. Very nice athmosphere on the terrace in summer. Take care! In summer or spring, you'd better book for your table on the terrace. Service a bit long but the waiters are so nice that you forget it...
