“Superb place to stay on Lake Como”
Reviewed September 25, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We travelled from Ireland to Lakeside Holiday Resort for 6 days. On arrival we received a lovely warm welcome (and a glass of local wine) from Aycan, the owner who lives on site with his family. The apartment was very comfortable and fully equipped. I especially loved the impeccably clean cotton bed linen. Aycan was very helpful throughout our trip and gave us some great suggestion for things to do. He has very good English and it was great to have someone on hand who could translate for us. From Domaso we were able to drive to Chiavenna where we got a bus to St Moritz and a two hour panoramic journey on the Bernina Express through the UNESCO World Heritage RhB. Another day we bought day tickets for the ferry around the mid lake which took in Caddenabbia, Mennagio, Bellagio and Varenna. Varenna is a must see atmospheric little fishing village with waterfront cafes and lovely walks. The Palazzo Gallio in Gravedona on the Lake holds music recitals on Sundays so we went there too. We also took the ferry from Menaggio to Como. This was a stunning two hour cruise on the lake passing through many lakeside villages. Another day, we hung out at the pool right outside our apartment and enjoyed cappucinos from the cafe bar on site. There are plenty of shops within walking distance of the apartment and I visited the lovely patisserie across the road first thing every morning! We are really glad we chose Domaso to stay in as we got to see so much of Lake Como in the six days. This place was definitely home from home for us and I would love to go back.

“Family-run holiday apartments 200 meters from the Como Lake, very friendly and accommodating owner”
Reviewed July 19, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed for a week in one of the ground floor apartments. The building has been recently renovated and we found the apartment in an excellent shape (clean and usefully furnished). I reckon the standard is around the high end of 3-star mark. The facilities in general seemed very well maintained, for example I believe the outdoor pool has been cleaned daily.
The owner Aycan also lives onsite and is a very cheerful and friendly person. He helped us with day trip plans, came with really good suggestions and made sure we got the best out of our stay here.
Breakfast was not an option, but there are a bakery across the street, two shops within a 5 minute walk and a bunch of cafes and restaurants nearby. The resort has its own small cafe/bar next to the swimming pool.
