Unfortunately, we only had 1 night at this beautiful old family run business. We were met by Sonya, the very friendly, obliging hostess, giving us instructions of where to park, then getting our luggage in her car and bringing to the property. She gave us instructions of what to do on our short stay, walking up the hill to overlook the lake, and down to the lake. Wha t a treat. The facilities included a lovely pool, kids room , nice back yard, fantastic warm croisssants delived for breakfast, and an honesty system for some basic items. Our apartment had 2 very well sized bedrooms, and comfortable lounge, and kitchen. It was lovely and quiet, and restfull. Jimmy checked us out and was very efficient and helpful. Thank you Sonya and Jimmy!!!

Room Tip: Finding by GPS was awkward, and cars cannot fit up the lane. Travel on to the next street, turn up and park at the church. It's worth finding.

Perfect place to stay. Building from XVII century, fully renovated. Very charming. Nice garden and swimming pool, you can order fresh croissants every morning. I see that owners have a lot of love for their bussiness.

Stayed in immaculate one-bed apartment. Spotlessly clean and good facilities. Very well set up for singles and families. The 300 year old villa has been very well converted to provide mix of accommodation. It has a very nice garden with pool and BBQ facilities. The host Jimmy is very helpful and provides a morning bread/croissant service and an honesty help yourself essentials service. Free wifi is a great addition. There is no on site parking but free parking is readily available close by. Domaso is a small quiet town good for touring Como with a nice promenade and a number of restaurants. Probably not a destination in itself but on a bus and ferry route. Villa Vinicia is hugely good vale and an excellent experience.

Stumbled upon this hard to find little gem. Stayed 1 night only, but would have loved to extend. This place is run by people that obviously care and love what they do. Probably 1 hour + from Como city, but who cares.
Will definitely return.

Villa Vinicia is absolutely beautiful with lovely friendly hosts, Sonia & Jimmy. The villa itself dates back to 1680 and has a magical feel as you enter. The lower parts of the house is like stepping back in time, the hallways, wine cellar & living room which is used as the reception has been left in traditional style. When you open the door to your apartment you then ate back in 21st century, they are clean, modern, well equipped with everything you need for a truly comfortable stay. Unlike most apartments though you have the added feeling of being looked after as a worthwhile appreciated guest. On the first evening Sonia welcomed all the new guests in the garden with wine & local cheeses etc and gave you info on things to do and local restaurants etc which was a nice touch! There is a room where you can buy anything you may have forgotten, toiletries, drinks, loo roll, even flip flops and pay at end of the week (with no difference in price to shops), you can have fresh croissants delivered to your room every morning as well as milk etc from the local charming shop. The area is stunning with loads to do and many places to visit. We drove to St Moritz while we were there which was a stunning scenic drive. We loved it so much we are going back next year. Thanks to Sonia & Jimmy, they really have got everything right.
