Casabella B&B

Found this charming B&B through Trip Adviser. It is situated about 200 m from the lake shore in the middle of Lesa. Enrico and his Wife warmly welcomed us to their charming and comfortable home. They provided us with a well appointed airy room with well appointed bathroom. There was no aircon but despite the 30+ heat we slept well. Breakfast was magnificent and beautifully presented on the terrace.
I can recommend staying here. The house is well located for the tourist attraction at Stresa and there are several good restaurants within 20 min walking distance of the house. Enrico is a wealth of information of all walks and local attractions.

We stayed for three nights at the wonderful Casabella B&B and we enjoyed all of them. The house is beautifully renovated and has lots of personality. The rooms are spacious, well equipped (even a little fridge and microwave) and with a stylish bath.

As mentioned in the other reviews the breakfast was very delicious, especially the home made cakes. Enrico surprised us with a new variety of scrambled eggs every morning.

A important fact for us was, that Enrico prepared a gluten-free breakfast (for Celiac) with special bread and cookies.

We stayed some nights (June 2013) at Casabella and enjoyed it a lot. The casa is indeed 'molto bella', classical outside and modern but very cosy interior. The room on the first floor was spacious and well equiped, even with a small fridge and coffee/thea maker and very clean. The bathroom was compact but equally well equiped.

And then it was time to breakfast! And what a time ! Everything you could wish in a good buffet breakfast was present (cheese, eggs, marmelade, fruit, ...) but in real italian style Enrico presented the extra suggestions orally: ricotta, scrambled eggs with vegetables, tomatoes with mozzarella ..., all presented very nicely. A worthy beginning of the day.

Mostly at breakfast, we check our plan for the day and here also Enrico was great: a rich collection of documentation and maps, a very good knowledge of the surroundings and most of all the desire to inform and advise his guests as well as possible, including advice on good restaurants.

All in all a very good stay in a first class B&B with a very friendly and helpful host in a region that is worth the journey !

We spent three nights at Casabella.
The hospitality and kindness presented by Enrico,Flavia and Aurora was one of a kind!
The room was comfortable and pleasant to stay.
the breakfast - ohh what a breakfast.. master chef, cooked by Enrico and served with a big smile.
you can feel the passion for details, as Ennrico is an architect by his professional, and this passion for accuracy is well presented in all aspects of the interior decoration as well.
Ennrico provide us some good tips for restaurant at Lesa vicinity , and helped us to plan our daily trips, while guiding us to best attractions in the area.

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Room#1 is ideal for a couple and there is an apartment if you travel in a group of more the three.

We stayed with Enrico in April (family of 5). He is a great bloke, a fantastic cook and has a very interesting home. He showed us around and we enjoyed chatting with him about architecture and art. Breakfast is awesome (especially the chocolate cake his daughter makes). The villa is in a quiet area but there are some excellent restaurants near by that Enrico recommended. I would definitely recommend Casabella if you want somewhere quiet to relax.
