We ended up spending one extra night here, (4 in total), because we just had to get out of touristy Zermatt Switzerland. We are so glad we did. Such a welcoming home. We had a lovely big clean room with a kitchenette and a separate little garden to ourselves. Enrico and his family were fabulous. We could have breakfast at our choice of time, and so many things were available to feast on - even sweets, (my kind of yummies for breakfast, lunch and supper too for that fact).
Enrico was kind enough to supply us with a box and tape as we wanted to send some of our belongings home to lighten our load. A very gracious host indeed. Any questions we had were happily answered and many brochures provided. Enrico has a whole bookcase full of information about the area.
The house is located in quiet Lesa. There is a small grocery store near by, (closed Sunday and Monday), a couple of small cafes, a pharmacy and post office near by. A bus stop is also not a 5 minute walk from the house, (no buses on Sundays). The train station of Lesa is about a 10 minute walk to the house. The train station is derelict, but the train does stop there, (unless the trains are on strike), which happened on the Sunday we were there, (and no bus available). We therefore decided we could walk to Stresa, as it was only a 7 minute vehicular ride, we were told. DO NOT walk unless you are prepared for a 3 hour hike along windy narrow streets. No fun with my bad knee. I had to end up hitchhiking and my husband walked the rest of the way.
The walks we took around the streets of Lesa were really nice, especially as you got to smell the scent of Jasmine throughout the area.
All in all I am really glad we found this quiet retreat in Lesa. Thanks Enrico to you and your family. We had a truly wonderful stay.

Room Tip: I think any room you get will be fabulous!

Oh, what a lovely place. The rooms were spacious, bathrooms ultra modern and the breakfast were outstanding (the best we had on our trip through Europe). Enrico was the amazing on every level.....he gave excellent suggestions on places to dine, suggested a free parking area near the train station, and was THE PERFECT host .I would DEFINTELY recommend this B&B.

We stayed at Enrico's Casabella the last 2 nights of our trip to Italy.
The room was booked directly via email and Enrico kept the replies quick and clear.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Enrico who led us to our rooms – they were spacious, clean and lovely designed.
The breakfast was very rich, tasty and tastefully served.
Enrico recommended nearby restaurants and is very knowledgeable about the area which helped us plan our day trips.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Casabella!

I visited Casabella 2009 with three friends.

Place was a positive surprise, really stylish in my view and the host of the house was friendly and did over the top breakfast for us. Every morning there was a little surprise like chocolate cake of local cheese with honey served. It was just perfect. We didn't get or need much of any other service than just breakfast which was more than good.

The host was an architect which really was visible in interior.

It was our second trip to Italy in two years. We stayed in a few great places Italy but Enrico's Casabella was the best. We really liked the house and garden. Great breakfast, lovely rooms and friendly host. Thanks Enrico.
