The hotel is very clean and has beautiful views over the lake. It is a long windy road that leads to the hotel and so essential to have a car if you want to visit the lake otherwise you are stuck there and won't be able to visit the lake.
We were in a apartment (not the hotel section) and the kitchen was well equipped (no oven or microwave). If you're in the apartment, don't forget to bring your own towels or its euro 10 each to rent.Great swimming pool. We were there in first week of August and it was never overcrowded. Sometimes it felt like it was our own private villa as we quite often had the place to ourselves.

Supermarket is a 5 min walk away.
The tignale town centre is also a 5-10min walk away. It's a very small town with a few restaurants and a piazza (square where there are some local events like markets and bingo).
It's a family run hotel. Staff were nice enough.
We visited Limone which is a half hour drive away which was worth a visit and got on a boat for €9 each to go to Malcesine.

Stayed at the Elisa April 2008. Fantastic location with breath taking views. Hotel sits on the hillside, some 600m above Lake Garda. Hotel restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. Great prices too. Wood fired Pizza some 14" or so is less than 5 Euro. Bar is open throughout the day. It was beautiful spring weather when we visited. Hotel very clean and tidy. You get greated by the hotels very own Minor Bird as you enter reception !
Hotel is easy to find, and is a fantastic base to tour the Lake Garda area. A visit to Sirmione at the south end of the lake is a must.........great shops and atmosphire.
Also you must travel up into Switzerland. It is beautiful too. We spent a fair few hours in the car, but loved every minute of it.
