We wenr on a Sunday evening at 7.30 after an aperitif in the Castle down the street, which had a good lake view.
Antica is hidden down a lane off the main st, in a courtyard. Nice shaded and secluded, it was full with families and then the crowd changed to an older crowd. Lots of chat and some laughter. The staff are attentive and not rushed, all effortless and with smiles and a relaxed approach.
Our 3 pasta starters were arriabiata, crab with salmon and lobster, all excellent. 3 from 3
For mains, we had a steak in pepper sauce, it arrived covered in a creamy sauce which his the steak, ordered well done, and was perfectly cooked and moist. For fish we chose lake trout ( filleted but with some bones ) which had a good flavour, breaded perch which was bland and an extra fish dish, tuna steak in sesame seeds. This came with caramelised onions, a winner and most unusual. 3 from 4.
Would recommend it, far better menu and ambience than Saggitarius where we ate last night.
