Exploring Lake Garda by train and boat we chose the villa as our base for the upper lake. Close to the pier and a destination in itself we can reconfirm all things mentioned here before.
We got the last room available, #16, under the roof – but were perfectly happy with size and style!
At the pier they have nice day-itineraries set up – we choose Malcesine & Limone. Only to realize that a day at Villa Giulia is among the best, Lake Garda has to offer.
A private Villa, still family run – one can emulate “George” – a (private) villa on the lake! Staff is efficient but unobstructive. Grounds are limited but meticulously maintained.
Even in paradise, we living can find shortcomings:
No elevator in the historic main building – but, please don’t put one in!!! It would change the mansion into a hotel.
In the bathroom, more storage surface for indispensablenes would be helpful!
My compliments to the dedicated family – for keeping a jewel like this alive in the main stream tourism around Lake Garda!
