Stayed in Albergo Gargnano for one night only.
The hotel is managed by a lovely family, but otherwise is very basic and unpretentious. The rooms are quite small, there's no airconditioning - only a very noisy ceiling fan. When it worked, it made lots of noise and almost didn't cool anything, and when the guests in the room below us turned their fan on - our bed started to shake...
Also, as there's no elevator and the stairs are rather steep, this hotel will be problematic if you have lots of luggage or problems with climbing stairs.
The parking nearby is a paid municipal parking (you have to pay per hour between 9:00-19:00), and there is no free parking.
The breakfast was rather good, with a selection of cold meats and cheeses, and a very good coffee.
It's a good option if you seek a hotel to spend a night, but I wouldn't recommend it for a long vacation.

Room Tip: The best rooms are lakeview rooms (the one overlooking the lake and the nearby harbor) on the first floor.
Thank Vladi D

Lovely family run hotel right on the lake front and in the middle of town. Views from the cozy rooms are superb. Try to stay in rooms 9 or 10, the former with double aspect windows and the latter with a pretty balcony opening to the lake. Staff is very friendly and rooms are large, tastefully decorated and immaculatley clean. Excellent value for money
